The new Nahiri will be great for modern. Use her ability to search for Emrakul and put him on the battlefield.

If you are putting emrakul onto the battlefield in a WR deck with a walker (or via any other means), you are doing it wrong.

If Groundskeeper ends up taking the slot of our One Drop Mana Dork I may cry a little.

I mean World Breaker is still a thing in standard with ramp so the idea isn't too far fetched.

If you are putting emrakul onto the battlefield in a deck you are probably winning and therefore not doing anything wrong.
I corrected you there, Boza.

You get 1 less card at 3 than Fact or Fiction. Still this is what we have wanted in modern for a while right?

I was about to say Epiphany looks really good until I realised that you organise the piles and the opponent chooses which one you get. Remember how that worked out for Steam Augury?

JohnnyBaggins, if takes you until turn 6 at best to put emrakul on the battlefield, you are doing it wrong.
I could keep this going :)

How about we don't assess playability for now. Is... is that a FUCKING WARPGATE!? I am officially pumped for the story.
March 16, 2016 10:19 a.m. Edited.
Epiphany seems awesome with delirium. Put all of it in one pile, they either give you cards or give you delirium...
March 16, 2016 10:21 a.m.
I'm kind of hoping this is the block that Tamiyo starts being the default Blue 'walker instead of Jace.
March 16, 2016 10:25 a.m.
Except that we are getting another Jace in SoI. Yay!
I can already see it: "Jace Beleren, Private eye"
March 16, 2016 10:27 a.m.
Yeah... Wizards mentioned that idea some time ago. I've been waiting for the switch.

In Tron you get Emrakul out turn 6 at least so yes. You can be doing something right by using Nahiri to put him out.
Got you again Boza

You would have thought it would happen back when he became Jace, the Living Guildpact, but that plot point seems to have had exactly zero broader story significance.
March 16, 2016 10:37 a.m.
Damn. That was so close. Why couldn't they make it like FoF and NOT Steam Augury. Give us a solid
draw spell for once.
March 16, 2016 10:37 a.m.
Having the choice be your opponents, it should have also had "... Investigate once for every 2 cards put into the graveyard this way." - or perhaps "Scry X, then..."

don't know if i'm gonna change Ugin's Insight with this, depends on how many good cards with delirium will get bant
March 16, 2016 10:46 a.m.
It's super worthless to engage in the speculation I'm about to engage in because the card is what it is, but... It would have been sweet if Epiphany at the Drownyard had some delirium text that switched it from a Steam Augury to a Fact or Fiction.
March 16, 2016 10:47 a.m.
3 mana 3/3 flier. Cool.
Turns useless cards into big creatures with haste. Cool.

That +1 actually looks really really sweet. High loyalty too.

Great ultimate, but I don't see this replacing Jace, Vryn's Prodigy in Standard.
March 16, 2016 10:53 a.m.
This would be much better than Vryn's Prodigy in the deck I've been contemplating (
control).

Olivia's killer. Tons of value there. RB vampire madness (Fright Night?) might be strong.
March 16, 2016 10:56 a.m.
New Jace . . . card advantage yes, protects itself yes, emblem cripples opponent yes (but in a cool way). Looks very bad vs. decks going wide, so CoCo is a problem for it, but at least rally's gone so you won't feel like an idiot as much casting this on 5 and letting them cast whatever. I'm just wondering if this sits too close to Ob Nixilis Reignited. Do you run both in a dedicated control deck?
March 16, 2016 10:56 a.m.
Not playable in EDH, but he might be decent in standard. Can't complain.

ducttapedeckbox says... #40
I like new Jace over Ob Nixilis. The life loss can add up, his protecting himself is one less loyalty, and his ultimate is more relevant.
March 16, 2016 11:05 a.m.
@NarejED: clearly you've never played against Doubling Season walkers. Any PW with high enough loyalty to ultimate instantly is pretty stupid in that build. Jace, the Living Guildpact is particularly gross. I can see this jace there.
March 16, 2016 11:06 a.m.
You just board wipe against wide decks. I think he'll be great in a control breed with Narset Transcendent.
Temur Walkers needs to be a thing now. The_Riddlebox

That is quite a dilemma you presented;
Both cards have the same CMC, both do essentially the same thing; but you gain card draw and scry over losing life, but replace removal with bounce.
Would I run both Ob and Jace? To remove two creatures or be able to draw up to 3 cards a turn is hard to ignore; but that's alot of space you'd have to use up in your deck for a pair that basically mirrors each other

Since the Star City images don't seem to be working...Sigarda, Heron's GraceCard Type: Legendary Creature
Creature Type: Angel
Power/Toughness: 4/5
Casting Cost: 3

Card Text: Flying
You and Humans you control have hexproof.
2, Exile a card from your graveyard: Put a 1/1 white Human Soldier creature token onto the battlefield.
Rarity: Mythic Rare
March 16, 2016 11:09 a.m.
mymanpotsandpans says... #49
Also why does Singarda still help human? Is she still good?
March 16, 2016 11:11 a.m.
Jace seems good to me. Sigarda...our first TRUE human tribal EDH general? and...
CURSE YOU Marchesa, the Black Rose FOR THE OLIVIA! I really thought I was going to get away with that one, like with Drana, Liberator of Malakir.

secondwhiteline says... #1
Yeah, you find another horse on the battlefield, and that's another horse you can eat later. Take your opportunities as they come.
