I keep going back and forth between 1 more Wrench Mind or 1 more Sign in Blood in my new deck

Looking for another opinion. Also, I could use help with my sideboard if you're willing. +1's appreciated :)

Go for consistency. Wrench Mind.

I would actually say sign in blood having too much discard can be an issue sometimes and you are already running thoughtseize and inquisition

Lol thank you both, but this is exactly my predicament

Fill that spot with a marked card for playtesting purposes. Whenever you draw it, note down whether you wish it was discard or card draw, and then replace it with the appropriate card afterwards. Although I'd replace the Sign in Bloods and Phyrexian Arenas with Dark Confidants and Wrench Minds with Liliana of the Veils.

Good suggestion! And I would do that if I had those cards, but I'm on a semi budget with this deck.

Why play sign in blood when you can play Night's Whisper?

Sign in Blood is strictly better than Night's Whisper in mono black since you can target an opponent to finish them off.

Fair enough, I guess.

Naw, I still like Night's Whisper better because you don't need an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to cast it turn two off of Swamp + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx/Tectonic Edge/Ghost Quarter.

I'm leaning more towards Night's Whisper over Wrench Mind. If your opening hand looks like Swamp, colorless land, Night's Whisper, Thoughtseize, and 3 random spells, it's almost a guaranteed keep. That's especially true if those last 3 spells cost 3 or more mana.

If it's Wrench Mind or Sign in Blood, Swamp, colorless land, Thoughtseize, and the same 3 random spells, you may very well not cast more than Thoughtseize on turn 1 for the entire game, so the hand gets a mulligan.

good point. I'm going to swap the sign in bloods out for night's whisper and mark a wrench mind to see if I want to draw or discard when that card is in my hand.

Personally I would add 2 more lands before anything else...
