Red Pump Spells for Infect?

Deck Help forum

I'm working on a new modern infect list that splashes red for double strike. Since I'm already splashing red, are there any good red pump spells (preferably 1-drop +4/+X pump spells) I can use?

Decklist: RUG Infect

Brute Force is great for 1 mana. See Reckless Charge , too.

The card you're looking for is Blazing Shoal , but it's banned in modern...

Finding +4/+x for 1 mana in red is really hard.

For 2 mana, there is Colossal Might , Ghor-Clan Rampager for Bloodrush, Phytoburst , and Blood Frenzy .

For one CMC boosts, you're likely going to be living with the same old green spells. Fists of the Anvil gives you +4/+0 at 2 CMC, and while the mana is a little restrictive at RG, Colossal Might is another fun one, giving a boost and trample. Titan's Strength gets you +3/+1 at instant speed with a bonus scry.

Rubblebelt Maaka is pretty great for one mana.

Currently aside from Assault Strobe there are no viable pump spells in red that are more effective than their green counterparts at 1 mana. You could sideboard some number of Blinding Flare or Ground Rift if your opponent has a lot of gumming creatures like Tarmogoyf , or at 2 mana run the uncounterable Ghor-Clan Rampager which can just brute past creatures, however 2 mana is a lot for infect.

I would not recommend any kind of burn like Magma Spray or Flame Slash because you're not trying to interact with them and it slows you down or clunks your hand if you try to, preventing blocking would be far more reliable if you wanted that kind of effect. I think with Copperline Gorge and perhaps even some number of City of Brass your mana should be okay (cmon enemy fast lands for Tarkir!)
