Legacy Reanimator: I need help switching Demonic Tutor out for another card that does the same.

I have been working on this deck for awhile. I believe Im finally close but I need to substitute Demonic Tutor out for something else. Im really not sure what would be a good substitute without slowing me. Here is my deck if you'd like to see it: Mortuus Vivens

Vampiric Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Infernal Tutor as just a couple of options. You could also spring for a wish effect instead and pull from your sideboard; wishes tend to be a bit cheaper than tutors.

is there something in particular you are usually tutoring or do you need the versatility that is demonic tutor?

Then you're not going to find a suitable replacement without needing some condition to be met (e.g. diabolic intent, infernal tutor) or paying more (e.g. diablic tutor, cruel tutor). If there's a particular casting cost you're trying to fetch, you can look into cards with transmute

Ok guys thanks for your help. Huff... I will use Diabolic Tutor as much as I dont want to. I believe its my best option.

Grim Tutor is the closest you'll get to Demonic Tutor in Legacy; costs a pretty penny, but it could be worth it over Diabolic Tutor just because it costs 1 less.

No one has mentioned Spoils of the Vault. Normally this is superbad because of Reanimate but you're not running it so maybe that's an option. Take some minerals though!
If you thought that was a bad suggestion, you could always look at Desperate Research, which is even worse!
The answer is what you have already gotten. Buy a $250 Grim Tutor or cop additional costs and conditions.

Thnx I actually went with Cruel Tutor. And julianjmoss... its not creatures Im searching for. I already have Entomb and Buried Alive. The problem is getting to those cards. Thats why I need to search for them or my defensive cards so that I can interact with my grave.

Imperial Seal. Lol, just kidding. In all seriousnesss, the best you can probably do for cheap would be Diabolic Tutor
