Is a color changing strategy viable?

I've got 2 decks in development at the moment utilizing the abilities of color/land changing effects like Whim of Volrath. I'm wondering if this strategy is viable in magic since I've always been curious about the mechanic, it's been around a long time, and EDH seems like a good format to try something creative with it.

These are the 2 decks so far:

The Whim of Volrath

Color Fight Party

I'm tempted to try a 5 color option to capture white's color hate strategies as well like Northern Paladin or Justice.

I don't think it's viable if you're looking for wins. If you're on it to mess with the table and keep everyone on their toes, it's better. I'm going to shamelessly plug my own interpretation,

that uses some of the white options. Drought and Glaciers are worthwhile additions.

Admittedly, I'm far from competitive, so it's probably not optimized.

I'll take a look at the deck. I've found that the color changing keywords are pretty challenging to search because of all the color overlap with things like "white" giving you lots of token generation abilities etc, so any decks that have a list are helpful. If only there was a primer of all the cards...

I also agree that a win condition seems challenging. Commander damage is possible, and so are things like Radiate+Artificial Evolution+Ral, Storm Conduit, which should give a copy for every permanent on the battlefield dealing a lot of damage. I have a feelings that there are other ways to leverage the targeting situation, like maybe storm or something like that.

I don't have the list, but I know someone who runs Jaya Ballard, Task Mage with color changing effects, and it's decently powerful.

It's usually a turn 1/2 Jaya into Painter's Servant (From tutors) with Red Elemental Blast style effects backing it up. They start blowing up multiple permanents a turn until they can just win though damage while we do nothing.

It definitely gets worse with more players though

I once played a Blind Seer deck and it was surprisingly powerful against my playgroup. I had to take it apart because it was too controlish. You should go for this mechanic, if you like playing jank.

Delphen7 - that sounds a lot more cancerous than I am going for, but ChaosJester may be right that the format is inherently control based.

Here's the latest build, and I've gathered quite a few of the more useful cards from all the decks provided as well as any I could find on TappedOut. I'm sure that there are some hiding somewhere since there isn't a tag for "color hate" or something like that.

I'm curious if there are any strategies that stand out with the collection of cards. There does seem to be some control options, but they seem on the border of Iona, Shield of Emeria which makes the game not fun. Are there any other strategies that could possibly work, or is this theme destined to be not enjoyable by anyone at the table?
