So I play a lot of 3 to 5 player commander games and I really like to control the board but don't have an edh deck that can. I do have a good 1v1 control edh deck but really am interested in what you guys think the best multiplayer control commander is. Thanks!
I agree with Oloro, he's been a mainstay of mine forever. Just build pillowfort and whatever variant of control you want and you should be good, Esper's really strong at it anyways.

I think the other 2 mentioned are normally stronger choices. I just don't run them.

My Anowon vampire tribal deck is really great at board control. If I get him out early enough it can shut down a game pretty quick.
Just look around and find a commander that you like, something will spark the passion. Then just build the control around him.

Zedruu the Greathearted Azami, Lady of Scrolls Sydri, Galvanic Genius are my top 3 for control with azami and zedruu being really close for 1st place

Personally I think that control decks are quite hard to manage in multiplayer formats, especially if you're the only one playing control.
But if choose to go that way, I would have either Oloro, Ageless Ascetic or Oona, Queen of the Fae.

Define control. If you want a CLASSICAL control deck, ie countermagic galore and bounce spells etc, Talrand, Sky Summoner is pretty good because while you have your general in play all your spells essentially gain the text "... and put a 2/2 blue drake token with flying into play."
If by control you mean something more like it has SOME counter magic but it mostly just deals with boardstates that get out of control, anything with a good amount of board wipes is good. Especially ones that destroy non-creature permanents like enchantments and artifacts. For that I go either Esper, Bant, or BUG for that effect. Oloro, Ageless Ascetic rocks the esper pillow fort pretty hard and allows for a LOT of tutors which lends him to a combo-control build. Derevi, Empyrial Tactician plays a lot like Winter Orb.dec and can easily just lock multiple people out of a game, plays more creature based than Oloro. Damia, Sage of Stone and Tasigur, the Golden Fang are the premier BUG control-y commanders IMO. Damia is a more guaranteed explosive draw engine, based on the build, but after she dies a couple times she is EXPENSIVE to recast. Tasigur is more of a political card advantage engine that can cost a LOT less to keep putting back into play after several board wipes due to that magical word delve.
TLDR: Anything can basically be built as a control shell, hell I've seen it done with Marath, Will of the Wild. Just comes down to what you want to play and how you build it.

Damia, Sage of Stone and Sharuum the Hegemon are some of the best combo-control commanders you can ask for in 4-player pods. Sharuum's combo is really resilient and easy to set up. Damia just needs to resolve Tooth and Nail and she wins.
If you want more of a stax type of commander, Derevi and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV are the way to go. Stax is inherently group sluggish, so while you'll be receiving a lot of hate from most players, you're affecting all players at the same time.
If you want non-blue control, I like Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. Mono-black makes no friends, but you'll have no problem squishing fields full of monsters at a time, and you generally have outs to most common combos.

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic and Damia, Sage of Stone make for interesting control decks.
