So when you guys play multiplayer, how do you go about playing aggro decks without getting immediately owned by everyone? Is a card suggestion or two or play-style modification change make it more viable? I'm mainly asking because I want to play my Depala deck more effectively Initial D(epala): Aether Stage

I kinda feel like aggro is unviable in EDH, because at the point it becomes viable, its pretty much a combo. I'm talking about things like dropping a Craterhoof Behemoth and swinging for like 200.
Aggro might be viable in a mostly aggro metagame though. If everybody is after life totals, having 120 life to carve through might not be so bad.

By aggro, do you mean winning in the early stages, or winning quickly via combat damage?

I play aurelia and a lot of shadow creatures, swords, jitte and a lot of artifact ramp to outrace my opponents. If there is not many boardwipes it works but you become target number one. That is always the same. Play creatures, attack and everyone tries to beat the shit out of you. I think there is no solution to this problem. Win before your opponents knock you out. Therefore I also have an elfball aggro deck that is simply to fast for other decks (unfortunately it wins with a Combo 80% of the time). I usually do not play aggro against combo Decks, too.

Okay, he best aggro commanders are really Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Kaalia of the Vast. Kaalia is pretty straightforward. You cheat in big stuff with good effects. Edric plays a buttload of evasive 1 drop weenie creatures and looks to draw into a series of extra turns to win.
As far as pure Voltron decks go, Sigarda and Uril are probably your best option. Both play as really large Slippery Bogles.

The most effective way I found to win with an aggro deck is to hate one person off the table at a time, it's a mean way to play but the biggest problem I found playing aggro is dealing with multiple opponents. The quicker you can get it down to a 1v1 the better.

If you want aggro to work in EDH at a non-casual table, you basically have two options: either play various combat-related combos (like Sword of Feast and Famine+Aggravated Assault), or play straight voltron (my voltron deck, if you want suggestions: Judgment Day: Avacyn the Purifier EDH | *PRIMER*).
Happy deckbuilding! :)

The best voltron deck is Bruna, Light of Alabaster with super enchantments

Aggro is difficult to play in edh. Like the above comment, combo-aggro coupled with card draw is pretty viable.
I am a Gruul/Temur player at heart, but I'm also a Spike, I found it very difficult to have a straight aggro deck that doesn't have crazy combos or synergies that can close out games because of the heavy use of board wipes in my meta. So I'm starting to lean to more control decks. My aggro deck is Xenagos, God of Revels, it tends to kill out of nowhere and often only using 1-2 creatures, so not many resources. Coupled with card draw and some recursion it can be pretty versatile. But it closes games from combos mainly.

If there's aggro with card draw, it's viable. Saskia the Unyielding is one of the more punishing ago decks that doesn't run out of steam.
