Best anti-land destruction/anti-Daretti cards or strategy?
Commander Deck Help forum

My "friend" uses a Daretti deck with heavy emphasis on land destruction and I'd like to make the game as unfun for him as he makes it for everyone else at the table. Currently my idea is to exile his mana rocks and pile in some graveyard hate. Any colors of suggestions are welcome.
I don't want to make things worse for others playing, just him specifically. I want to shut down his deck so hard he rage quits.

You'll want a deck with a lot of counters or ways to get rid of player's cards from the library or hand. You are looking at Grixis colours.

You could also consider Boros colors. This gives you access to enchantment and artifact tutors, Stony Silence and Rest in Peace, board wipes, and exile effects. Null Rod and Torpor Orb are also good contenders for such a deck. Faith's Reward let you recover from board wipes.

Maybe having commanders that destroy artifacts might be good. I like Glissa Sunseeker for that, and cards like Mycosynth Lattice make her fantastic in normal situations too.

If you don't mind white there's Terra Eternal and Sacred Ground. Or you could beat him at his own came with an Arcum Dagsson deck which is crazy powerful even in budget.
Personally I am a darretti player myself and there is nothing I (or anyone playing pw commander's) hate more than a turn one Pithing Needle.

Thanks everyone, these are great. I was loathing facing his deck again, but now I'm exited.

I'd highly recommend against Mycosynth Lattice. That card is almost always going to be very helpful to the Daretti player. It also makes all your stuff much easier for them to destroy.
Anyway, the number one thing I hated seeing when I played Daretti was graveyard hate. It's possible to deal with troublesome permanents (yes, even enchantments). It's much harder to bounce back from having your yard exiled or shuffled into your library. If someone sticks a turn 0 Leyline of the Void, you're probably not even in the game.
Hating on the graveyard makes it much harder to set up a favorable board state for LD to actually put yourself ahead as a Daretti player.

The most non-fun (for others) deck I've ever made was my mono black Sheoldred, Whispering One deck.
Being able to pull out Eldrazi with the annihilator ability as early as turn one takes the fun right out of the game.
