Sideboard Change —Sept. 2, 2017
Since infect has disappeared from my local meta, I took Melira, Sylvok Outcast out of my sideboard in favor of Aven Mindcensor. I brought in Aven Mindcensor to combat decks like Titan Shift that win by tutoring out specific cards.

Thanks for the suggestion Bulldawg1310! That sounds like an interesting and powerful addition. I probably won't run Flickerwisp in this deck because it would be very difficult to hard cast with my current manabase. However, I will test that online with a different manabase and see how it goes. I appreciate the suggestion!

I'm in the minority here, but I like playing Summoner's Pact over Chord of Calling because it makes the deck more explosive. I can understand why you wouldn't but it's just something I like.
Elves are amazing!

filthyc4sual That is actually a sweet idea. I probably won't fork out the money for it, but I am glad to see people trying out new things with this deck. Summoner's Pact is such a powerful card.

I don't know how worth it it is if you have chords already, it just fits my playstyle better. I like being proactive when it comes to modern.

filthyc4sual I am going to try it out on xmage. Do you play a full playset in the place of Chord of Calling?

I'd recommend at least proxying and trying out 4 Devoted Druid and 1 Vizier of Remedies. I also play abzan elves and I run that combo, you can check my deck out here: Budget-ish Modern Elves. As I said though, the combo is so powerful, just lets you automatically win with Ezuri, Renegade Leader if they can't stop you. Also 2 Devoted Druid and 1 Ezuri, Renegade Leader also goes infinite and wins. The combo is made even better by the 4 Collected Company and 4 Chord of Calling, offering another very viable win condition to the deck.

have you considered Flickerwisp to double your money with Shaman of the Pack? I understand why you wouldn't but my elf deck started as golgari, then I switched it to abzan for the purpose of flickerwisp, it didn't work out for me so I switched back to golgari. this seems like it does well for you and you have a decent grasp on the mana base for it. just thought id throw that out as an option
