You wouldn't know it from my deck list, but I am infatuated with the idea of Blue and Red decks. Always have been since I heard that counter-burn was a thing. I never built one for myself. I think that's a shame. I was getting back into Magic after a long absence right about the time Izzet was getting super popular. "Great!" I thought. "Now I have a good reason to do what I always wanted to."

Well, I bought a bunch of red/blue cards and sat down to start putting them together and I suddenly had no idea what sort of deck I wanted. At some point I stumbled on the "Stalking Stalker" archetype and promptly threw one together.

This is the result.

Not much different from a lot of variants, but I find this one suits my style well. Most of the cards are cheap to cast and to buy (except that !@#$ing Stromkirk Noble at the time).

I remember it taking a while to get this together because I was too much of a cheap ass to buy a set of Stromkirk Noble. He kept creeping up and finally I couldn't wait any longer. And he's .75 now. Awesome.

I'd also like to make a confession here: I suck with mana. I don't do ratios well and I have no idea how much to sprinkle where. It's an awful affliction. So, my mana is how you see it here. Very symmetrical. I often get mana-screwed, but when I don't the deck works beautifully.

I'm not looking for praise or anything. I'm just adding this deck to my list for the sake of completion. That and it is fun to play with.

I never did make that stupid Izzet deck. Good times.
