So far I'm really liking the addition of Teferi's Protection and Curse of Opulence. They are fitting the deck perfectly. Despite multiple games I haven't yet drawn into Disrupt Decorum so I can't comment on its performance.

I'm changing up some of the card draw in the deck. The small sorceries Read the Bones, Night's Whisper, and Sign in Blood were decent inclusions but I wanted to test out some that fit more with the theme of the deck. I've replaced them with the following:

Underworld Connections: I'm typically holding up mana to cast removal or fog effects. If I don't use up the mana by my opponent's end step, I can tap the enchanted land for incremental card advantage. This enchantment feels like a good fit in a control deck.

Erebos, God of the Dead: My problem with Tainted Remedy previously was that it was a dead card unless I was going up against lifegain decks. Erebos acts as a hoser of lifegain decks but can also provide incremental card advantage. Similar to Underworld Connections, it provides me with a mana sink if I don't use up all my mana on opponents' turns.

Mathas, Fiend Seeker: I'm more skeptical about this one. Yes, it's very political and yes, it's likely to net me more cards than my opponents. However, I typically want my opponents to attack each other with their creatures, not kill them. Still, it's a way of encouraging opponents to spend resources on each other instead of me. It's worth a shot.

I've also swapped out Sudden Spoiling to bring back in Exsanguinate. The deck again felt a little heavy on fog effects and light on win condition cards.

Love the C17 changes. Exactly in line with my feelings about the set and Marchesa. Perfect.

I think Mathas, Fiend Seeker will do you some solid political plays.
