Very excited to see a break down of why some of the new commanders got placed so highly. I haven't seen any lists on the discord; is there another place I should be looking?

Some notes:

Prossh, Skyraider of Kher has dropped far. Either that, or the commander powercreep of the past 2-3 sets caught up to him and now there are simply a dozen new options on the same level. Maybe both.

Why are Cazur, Ruthless Stalker and Ukkima, Stalking Shadow  Flip tier 1.5? Why are Haldan, Avid Arcanist and Pako, Arcane Retriever tier 2?

How much of all this is caused by Thassa's Oracle?

Sephyrias Ukkima and Cazur make a very powerful foodchain deck. It's in sultai colors with a pretty direct way to win off a foodchain combo with Ukkima. It's the best foodchain commander we've gotten in sultai and it's pretty much the best 3 color pair.

Sephyrias as Frostman1255 said, Ukkima, Stalking Shadow  Flip with cazar is a powerful sultai food chain commander that no longer needs a wincon in the deck as ukkima can finish once you have food chain, free's up a few cards in the 99. but i second the Haldan, Avid Arcanist and Pako, Arcane Retriever do nothing on their own and certainly don't belong where they are on the list.

I've seen a few ways people have built Tatyova, from stax to turns to direct combo. What are the advantages of these builds when it comes to Ms. Tatyova, and do people know about good archetypal lists for each build?

SplendiferousPotato I believe theres a turns build done by the cedh tv guy that's pretty solid and there was a value/stax version floating around on the discord but I think it was takin dowm.

Taken down for any particular reason? Just curious.

Also, thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!

I'm not sure. I just kinda lurk on the discord. I'm sure if you talked to one of the people who are active on there like a moderator or something they'd be able to provide better insight.

Tier E and tier F both have the number (4) next to them, just so you know. I assume E is supposed to be a 3? Figured this was the best way to let you know, lol

Now that the flash ban updates are here, I'm very curious as to why Zur the Enchanter is in with the titans? I don't have any Zur players at my LGS cEDH nights so I've never personally played against him, and I think I've only seen him once, maaaybe twice on cEDH youtube channels with him performing well. Does he abuse any specific combos? I don't think I know much about him if he's sitting with the titans. (Also I'm very disappointed Urza didn't make it into the titan slot, I think he is very befitting of the title, too :c)

Haldan, Avid Arcanist,Pako, Arcane Retriever,Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger and Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath are T2 while
1.Atla Palani, Nest Tender dropped to T2.5 even she should be higher now without flash hulk around
2.Tayam, Luminous Enigma is at T3 with plenty of combos around her.
3.Nethroi, Apex of Death is a T4? he is a bomb in the command zone!

Urza should swap for Zur, the rest is OK. Good Job and thanks for your effort.

Having extensively played both Urza and Zur I can say there is no comparison. Zur is far superior. As long as Necropotence is legal, that deck is a solid Tier 1.

What list are they using for Rielle? How is she strong enough to hit 1.5?

Zaxara, the Exemplary seems more powerful than mid power to me. Do any of the other mid power commanders make infinite mana with one aura?

May 5, 2020 3:11 p.m.

Colonel_Kink says... #17

deathbydiddle, zaxara is strong, and in strong colours, but its effects are not good enough to compare it to similar colours. as such, the commander must be more of an effect on the game then the other top tier sultai commanders. ignoring the deck, zax is a mana dork that goes infinite, on your next turn unless it has haste. it makes creatures using its other ability which can be interesting but not too powerful. however, the idea of making 0/0s with zax is worth tinking with, a creature deaths matter deck. that might be good enough for x based storm decks and the infinite mana as a side combo can be legit. but has yet to be perfected.

Hello,

Great to see the updates made on the page. I just saw that:

High Power was listed as: (E) 4: High Power (119)

Mid Power listed as: (F) 4: Mid Power (462)

Are they both numbered 4? or is High Power supposed to be 3 and it's just a typo?

Thanks!

Just for clarification, Tiers C and higher are competitively viable, and Tiers B and A are the cream of the crop?

Wow is Harvest Animar so bad of a deck it’s a lowly tier 3? It seems to be a very consistent deck capable of very quick wins At least tier 2 would be better than an insulting tier 3

May 6, 2020 4:09 p.m.

Just noticed this: It says 4 (High Power) instead of 3 (High Power)

Nethroi seems to be better than tier 4. It acts as a basically instant win in the command zone. This list I made has some issues but it basically goes off between turns 3-5 consistently and is fairly resistant to non-graveyard hate. The cons are pronounced as it has a lot of combo pieces, needs more stax pieces, and, again it folds to graveyard hate. The pros are you have combos which can act independently or together, hulk allows instant speed wins, and you can kind of play a game of graveyard toolbox. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/nethroi-apex-of-death-cedh/
