Strong creatures & burn deck with an infinite damage combo:

1. splice Desperate Ritual onto Lava Spike
2. utilize Izzet Guildmage's activated ability, wait til it resolves
3. do it again with the liberated mana
4. rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

I'm still thinking about substantial sideboard options. This could do with some card seek, and dual lands.
