A Reckoning. —April 7, 2016

i have realized that this deck has become far more of a combo deck than originally intended. while i still enjoy playing it, it has morphed beyond the original description, so i will be removing that/ placing a disclaimer underneath and preserving it for nostalgia's sake

Skullclamp is fantastic in this kind of deck. It draws so many cards.

the main problem with Skullclamp is that i only have 4 creatures that would die to it to draw me cards. as i don't run a lot of wheenies, it doesn't do much. i really don't need to draw a lot of cards, as muzzio plays things off the top. overall, most of the time it will be a static +1/-1 buff

Yeah I guess, but it's so good with Thopter Assembly and Myr Battlesphere.

Drawing is only really necessary for that one (maybe two) per turn. Normally you want to avoid drawing a lot of cards.

I've been looking for a good combo-y commander for the competitive edge league at my lgs....Looks dirty enough for me. +1

Honestly, as much as I love Muzzio, Arcum Dagsson is generally a better competitive commander. Arcum generally wins faster, more efficiently, and more brutally. because of this, he draws a lot of hate; that's one of the reasons I prefer Muzzio. where Muzzio has an element of chance, Arcum is pure tutor. Where Muzzio costs to activate, which hampers abuse, Arcum is free. Muzzio will draw less hate, sure, but the hate only matters if you aren't already dead via Arcum. For a casual setting, I recommend Muzzio. He is more fun to try to beat, leaves more to chance if you're like me and enjoy variance, and generally leaves interaction possible. For a competitive setting, Arcum is better... WAY better. Thanks for the +1 too

I might switch mine to Arcum Dagsson soon.

I keep arcum in the deck as an alternate commander, for when the meta gets cutthroat. While similiary based around artifacts they are built a little bit differently. Muzzio wants a great curve, while arum tends to want small artifact creatures that replace themselves. Generally though, they are similiar, so I just put arcum in for the cutthroat games. Just be careful not to get hated out.

I don't even know what would be worth pulling out with Arcum Dagsson's ability besides the Kaldra pieces (Helm of Kaldra, Shield of Kaldra and Sword of Kaldra), Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice and Nevinyrral's Disk.

Silver Bullets? I do have Rings and Top. I'd like to get the Monolith and the Staff.

Silver Bullets are sepcific cards that hose specific stategies. Eg. Grafdiggers cage for the reanimator deck.

I think I'm going to make a non-tribal Thraximundar deck with aggro and control in mind. I want to be more aggressive and powerful than I was before.

Just like how I'm going to start playing Standard once Shadows over Innistrad comes out. I want to be competitive and win more.
