my Muzzio, Visionary Architect deck

New Description

This deck has evolved into far more of a combo deck than originally intended. It now contains multiple infinite combos, though I don't mind as I barely ever tutor for them and as such rely on digging with Muzzio, which is truly an enjoyably random experience. As such, I feel that the old description is really better suited to a value based deck, a deck that no longer really exists (May the Father of Machines bless it's memory). Make no mistake, this deck can play it fair, and it's no Arcum Dagsson, but it often goes for the combo kills now, rather than the insane value.

Original Description

"To be clear: this deck is (usually) NOT a combo deck, regardless of the combos listed below. This deck is designed to be Value/Beatdown, and to play a (mostly) fair game of EDH. (there is one exceptionally unlikely game ending combo, and two slightly less unlikely game ending combos, as well as a Synergy that can be devastating, or simply powerful (depending on how much you use it). they are listed in the "don't do this if you want friends" section"

Some synergies and combos:

Enabling Combos and Synergies

Muzzio, Visionary Architect + Mycosynth Lattice + Unwinding Clock = use muzzio on other peoples turns

Muzzio, Visionary Architect + Rings of Brighthearth + 1 U mana + 5 mana= 2 abilities for 6 mana

Draw Synergies

Rings of Brighthearth + Sensei's Divining Top = 2 mana: draw a card, return Sensei's Divining Top to your hand. (Copy top's draw ability, drawing you the top card, and then Sensei's Divining Top)

Staff of Nin/Howling Mine/Rhystic Study/Mind's Eye + Alhammarret's Archive gives you insane card advantage

Infinite Combos

Rings of Brighthearth + Sensei's Divining Top + infinite mana: draw your deck, and play all nonland cards if you have Mycosynth Lattice

rings off brighthearth + basalt monolith + pentavus: an arbitrarily large pentavus and an arbitrarily large number of pentavites.

mycosynth golem + myr battlesphere + master transmuter + unwinding clock + the four myr tokens = infinite myr tokens

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + 2 mana = infinite mana

Paradox Engine + Planar Portal + mana rocks producing 7-18 mana (not as hard as it seems in such a rock heavy deck) = tutor and play every spell in your deck. tap at least 6 mana to tutor for a spell, plus whatever mana it costs to play it. cast it, untap, repeat. start with mana rocks to net you even more mana

Metalworker + Staff of Domination + at least 3 artifacts in hand = infnite mana, untaps, life, taps, and draw your deck (make 6 mana with Metalworker, then spend 3 and use staff to untap Metalworker and 1 and use Staff of Domination to untap Staff of Domination. repeat to your hearts content).

DON'T DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR FRIENDS:

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + Mycosynth Lattice + Muzzio, Visionary Architect + Clock of Omens = probably play every artifact in your deck at instant speed, and uncounterable.

(make infinite mana, spend as blue in blocks of 6: 4 to activate muzzio, two to rings of brighthearth the ability. then use the two freshly played artifacts on clock of omen, untapping muzzio, and repeating the process until you are out of artifacts. This can be done eot on someone elses turn, so you end up with about half your deck on the field untapped.)

infinite mana + Mycosynth Lattice + Memnarch.= steal everybody's everything. spend your infinite mana as blue to turn things into artifacts, and then steal them...pretty self explanatory.

Karn, Silver Golem + Mycosynth Lattice = As much Land destruction as you have mana. (all permanents are artifacts due to Mycosynth Lattice, including lands, so for the low price of per land, animate any land to give it a Power/Toughness of 0, and have it die due to State Based Actions)

LIKELY ACQUISITIONS:

Scroll Rack (with Muzzio, this reads 4U: put target artifact from your hand onto the battlefield. draw a card

Karn, Silver Golem

Academy Ruins (in conjunction with the mindslaver I already own.)
