Gruul Behemoth

Pauper RG (Gruul)

nicochulo

It has been a while since I uploaded a deck here, and I decided to try making a Pauper deck for the first time. Looking through my Modern Horizons common pile that reaches the sky, I was inspired to make a Murasa Behemoth deck.

The plan is simple: You get at least one land in the graveyard and that makes Igneous Elemental into an efficient 4-drop and Murasa Behemoth into... well... a behemoth, quite aptly. To do this, you can use Springbloom Druid (that also ramps and fixes your mana), you can discard a land using Faithless Looting or you can choose the "creature" mode of Winding Way and let one be milled over.

As I'm a novice in this format's deckbuilding, I decided to just throw stuff in to see what stuck: Krosan Tusker as a way to fix mana and a late-game threat, Evolution Charm as a way to get stuff back or get some more lands, and Fierce Empath as a way to tutor for creatures (among other things)

I've got no sideboard yet, but first I'd wish to polish the maindeck some more to see what could fit well in this shell
