The Story

I was playing Sealed at the Thrones prerelease and I opened two copies of Gingerbrute . Very quickly while playing my Rakdos Knights (+Gingerbrute) deck at prerelease I realized I really liked casting Infuriate and making my Gingerbrute unblockable to swing for 4. Super neato. So I decided to make a deck in Arena.

How to play the deck

Strategy

You don't play the deck unless you have a Gingerbrute or Tin Street Dodger in hand. You also need at least 1-2 buff spells such as Samut's Sprint , Infuriate , or Barge In . If you don't have a hand like this, MULLIGAN. Don't be afraid to mulligan down to 4 cards. All you need is 1 land.

Matchups

This deck gets bricked hard by lifegain. Removal is less of an issue but still crippling. If you see them gain any amount of life, concede and hope you get matched against gruul stompy instead. You beat mill, some midrange lists, and against aggro you have about a 50/50 shot. So long as Gates never plays Gates Ablaze or Archway Angel , you also beat them.

Oh, and decks that make food win against you too. Contrary to what the competitive meter may say about this deck, this is NOT COMPETITIVE. You will probably lose a lot of matches. But the ones where you win will make your victory so much sweeter. You... you get it? it's sweeter because gingerbrute is made of sweets. Haha...???
