AKH Prerelease Updates —April 22, 2017

Was able to trade into some fetchlands (Flooded Strand, Windswept Heath) and a shockland (Hallowed Fountain). Was also able to trade for a foil MM17 Azorius Signetfoil.

On the prerelease, I got a Cascading Cataracts for my promo and thought the land was very bad. Upon closer inspection, it was actually the 2nd indestructible land we can have for the deck right next to Darksteel Citadel. The big plus for this is that it dodges all artifact hate and can be used to correct colors later on in the game. Take for instance Planar Cleansing and Whir of Invention. Straight into the deck it goes!

I'm still on the fence about the following cards:

  1. Scribe of the Mindful - first ever Archaeomancer variant that can be recurred with Sun Titan
  2. Call to Mind - is a sorcery (which pumps our lands) and can also replace Archaeomancer
