Crimson Vow —Dec. 7, 2021
Crimson Vow wasn't as exciting for this deck as Midnight Hunt was, but I've got some other general changes to throw in here as well.
IN
- Eiganjo Castle - the colorless lands just weren't carrying their weight, so I added another colored source
- Leave / Chance - this has a lot of utility with zero mana rocks and Dockside extortionist, and Chance isn't a horrible spell
- Manaform Hellkite - this card seems just insanely strong; it can be a win condition with enough spells or enough pump effects like Anax, and it can produce blockers in a pinch, I'm very excited to test this card out
- Sundown Pass - dual land is dual land, and also the colorless lands really just weren't worth the early game drawback
OUT
- Inkmoth Nexus - very cool in theory, but very nice and I've never actually killed a player with it since I put it in, not because I've never drawn it or never played it, but because I either win despite having it or it's just another land in a game I lose; worth having in a Voltron build undoubtedly, but in my particular build, there just isn't quite enough support for it to be consistently more useful than a wastes
- Kick in the Door - very good spell with Zada/Mirrorwring, very bad any other time, and being a sorcery really puts a hard cap on it's effectiveness
- Show of Confidence - just not the direction this deck wants to be going; very good in a Voltron build, but it has such little utility in my own build and it isn't even as good as other +1/+1 counter spells that could take it's slots
- Urza's Saga - mediocre to the bone, this is a deck with a fair amount of artifacts, but I don't want to be spending turns making constructs and the colorless source early really hurts this deck

Sorry if you've answered this before, but why are the artifact lands in here? I don't see any payoff, but I'm sure I'm just missing it.

Thoughts on the newly spoiled Lantern Flare for emergency life gain if opponents start getting too far ahead? To blow up any token creatures you may have so you can keep getting the lantern back.

Sorin_Markov_1947 - they're just in there to increase the consistency for Mox Opal on Metalcraft, they aren't really necessary if you're not running Opal and even less so if you aren't running Urza's Saga, which I'm considering cutting
KayneMarco - Lantern Flare is definitely interesting, but I'm not sure how I feel about it, it's certainly worth testing though for some weird situations; what I'm really looking forward to so far from spoilers is Manaform Hellkite to make blockers or an army of flying attackers, which go even better with Anax or Lightscribe since you can stack the triggers and any token will be able to receive a buff from the same cast it was created from
Thanks for the comments as always!

The tokens from hellkite only stick around till end of turn….unless I read it wrong.

KayneMarco - They do get exiled, but they make excellent attackers with any of the buff creatures (Leonin Lightscribe, Anax and Cymede, Phalanx Leader) and they can be made on opponents' turns so they can function as blockers against things without trample, I'm really excited for this card actually lol

Now that the full spoiler is out there are 2 cards that have caught my eye for Feather.
Manaform Hellkite which you already commented on why it's pretty awesome.
The other is Welcoming Vampire. The reason I like this card is twofold. First because so many creatures in the deck are 2 power so it turns them all into cantrips at no extra mana investment (unlike Mentor of the Meek). The second, and more important reason, are cards like Young Pyromancer / Akroan Crusader / Manaform Hellkite. Despite it's once per turn trigger, we can easily get that extra card on each player's turn thus giving us more cantrippy goodness.

Have you considered Phalanx Tactics? Zada, Hedron Grinder + Phalanx Tactics feels pretty good. Of course, you need to go a little wide to get the most out of it. Also, did you take out Dreadhorde Arcanist? That really helps rebuilt after a wheel, and lets you use Path to Exile as both removal and ramp.

@Spyrechild - for more Voltron based builds I think this card is a slam dunk, though for me personally it's a little slow and it can't be used as a protection spell due to sorcery speed, but it definitely has its applications for sure. Thanks for the comment!
@MacabreMayhem - both of those cards are too narrow in their removal space and too lackluster on the other modes to really justify for me personally, but for more Voltron based builds where those buffs might matter more, they could definitely have a place as modal removal spells, because I really like them in theory, but destroy only artifact or only enchantment when Boros has access to a variety of disenchant effects just misses the mark for me a little. Thanks for the comment though!
Innistrad changelog should be up soon, lots of new changes!
