Immersturm

Plane — Valla

Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, that creature's controller may have it deal damage equal to its power to target creature or player of their choice.

Whenever you roll CHAOS, exile target creature, then return it to the battlefield under its owner's control.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor Actually, the Mad Max-survival story would be perfect for a one-shot return to Amonkhet. That's a good idea. Even so, Immortan Joe from Fury Road had substantial stores of water to hold people under his control. What kind of condition was the Luxa River in by the end of Hour of Devastation?

JANKYARD_DOG "new worlds also keep things fresh, [and] explores/widens more of the multiverse" This is the part I have a problem with. There are already too many half-developed planes, and making more won't help. If a plate of chocolate chip cookies is still half raw, adding underbaked ginger snaps doesn't solve anything. I 100% agree priority should be given to Planechase planes and core set previews. Although, Immersturm seems to be part of Kaldheim, not Valla, and Kharasha Foothills have been eclipsed by Tarkir and won't be making an appearance (thanks to an unintentionally problematic name for the plane, as I understand.) So even those aren't really safe.

Hi everyone, I played MTG in the mid 90's and this card is a complete enigma for me: Immersturm . It says that it is legacy legal but I have no clue how it is handled. Can somebody brief me on this? Cheers!

I find Raymond Swanland’s style does it for me. The wild, chaotic feel of the Immersturm...Warstorm Surge, Devastation Tide, Faith's Reward.

(Note; Etali, Primal Storm and Ashiok, Nightmare Muse are also Swanland works.)

Immersturm's Pervasion

Legendary Enchantment

All creatures must attack each turn if able.

All creatures get +2/+0 and have haste.

Whenever a source deals damage to an opponent, it deals twice that much damage instead.

See Immersturm.

Create another card based on a plane card (though, let me be clear, it need not represent the plane or location in question). It could be another location on a plane, it could be a legendary creature that inhabits it, it could showcase a new mechanic specific to the plane- get creative! (also, bonus points if it's a plane we haven't yet visited!)

I have heard players on both this forum and elsewhere talking about Kladheim, as it seems to be a Norse mythology/viking-themed plane, and I very much wish to see such a plane, as well, but why is Kaldheim more popular than Valla? I would like to see that plane explored further, as that is where the Immersturm is located.

I would really like to visit Valla, as seen on Immersturm and Warstorm Surge, since it seems to be a plane modeled after Norse mythology.

The 1s and 2s, Ravnica, Innistrad, and Zendikar, already have a return block, so I'm not thrilled to see them so low. I would like to see a fleshed-out Regatha or Segovia before them, but those are 6 and 8, respectively. And I still want to see some of the Planechase planes before those, Fabacin (Grove of the Dreampods), Azgol (Lair of the Ashen Idol), and Xerex (Stairs to Infinity, not in T/O database yet) in particular. "What's special about Fabacin?" "It's where dreampods grow." "What are dreampods?" "They only grow on Fabacin, making it special." "So, what's so special about Fabacin again?"

Valla (Immersturm) is shown on Warstorm Surge), and I will forever think Kephalai (Aretopolis) should have been incorporated into Theros. How many classical Greek planes are there, anyway?

DemonDragonJ on Which Planes From Planechase Would …

The two Planechase sets featured many different planes, many of which have been featured in blocks, and many of which have not. Some of those planes were first introduced in those sets, and some of them are planes that I would like to see featured in their own blocks, so this thread is to discuss those planes.

First, I would like to see either Kaldheim (featured on Skybreen) and/or Valla (featured on Immersturm and Warstorm Surge) have their own blocks, because their names are vaguely Nordic/Germanic, and this game has not yet had a Norse mythology-themed block.

Second, I would like to see Pyrulea (featured on Horizon Canopy and horizon boughs) have its own block, because that plane is one of the more unusual planes in the multiverse. The plane is comprised of a vast spherical network of leaves, forests, and other vegetation that surrounds a star, which means that either the plane is incredibly massive in size or the star is a dwarf star. That would certainly be an interesting setting for a block.

What does everyone else say about this? Which planes from Planechase would you like to see be the setting of a block? Also, why would the website not accept the card tags for horizon boughs, as it did the other cards?
