Drift of the Dead

Creature — Wall

Defender

Drift of the Dead's power and toughness are each equal to the number of snow lands you control.

Drift of the Dead does not work in this deck. You forgot to add snow lands. Otherwise, great!

I would pull out Drift of the Dead since you are really turn four heavy, and replace it with Vampire Hexmage to trigger Dark Depths. Doing this would negate any usefulness in snow covered lands, but also make your Blanket of Night redundant when you switch to regular swamps. That opens up two more card spots, where I would put Rite of Consumption or Essence Harvest.
That would give you a potential win con of T3, with - turn one swamp, turn two swamp/hexmage, turn three dark depths/sac hexmage/essence harvest/win.

Hello, Pinkie_Satanas! I would probably replace Drift with a removal spell like a second copy of Snuff Out or even Doom Blade. I do not run Sign in Blood, but that is an option as well. If the Drift of the Dead is taken out, lands like Barren Moor and Bojuka Bog also gain more value as replacements. Happy Brewing :)

Hi! I have been toying around with pestilence, but with a WB version of it. I feel like white provides more lifegain, but black is generally more efficient and consistent, so i'm willing to try your version . What would you replace Drift of the Dead to? Leaving apart ice age nostalgia xd

This is very true Naksu, however, you can easily replace the snow lands, Drift of the Dead and Rime Transfusion with other cards and it'll run fine.

Without the Drift of the Dead you almost could make this a Pauper deck.

Thanks for the suggestion,Namico10!

I would slot in Withering Wisps, but unfortunately, it was never released as a common. The Snow-Covered Swamps and Drift of the Dead could be replaced, but Ice Age is very dear to me... I just can't bring myself to cut them.

Again, thanks for the suggestion! Maybe they'll reprint Wisps as a common one day.
