Commander: Memnite

Based on Taida's deck Aristo-cats, this is a revised version of a format called Silversmith (discussed here) that me and my sister have made up

A quick rundown of the rules:

  • 34 card deck of uncommon cards (except basic lands)
  • you must have 9 artifacts, but one is a 'Trinket' which is a zero or one mana artifact (unique/single copy) which is a little bit like a commander as it doesn't have to go to the graveyard when destroyed and can instead be cast again for a cost of one more each time
  • you have 25 other cards which you can have in any amount

9 and 25 are referring to 925, the parts per thousand required to be sterling silver. This deck works on enchanting and killing your own creatures, with the little Memnite who is your Trinket and easy to access 1/1 who can be killed easily, essentially acting as tinder as soon as you've got your pieces in place. You want Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim + Knight of Doves + Vengeful Bloodwitch all out for it to work. Simply cast Screams from Within on Memnite, killing it and sending the enchantment with it to the graveyard where it will then create a bird token via Knight of Doves. Vengeful Bloodwitch and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim won't be best pleased and will both take away one life from your oppponent. And because Screams from Within takes itself back out of the graveyard you can put it on your brand new birb. This cycle now repeats until your opponent dies.
