Oh bro, I forgot to tell you. I put Genesis Ultimatum and Izzet Cluestone in there last minute, but I don't remember what I subbed out.

I should add that colorless cards like The Underworld Cookbook are legal in any Commander deck.

Token creatures do not count toward the 100. This next note is a little more advanced, but you can create tokens that are not in your commander's color identity, as long as the source is within the color identity. As an example, Experimental Synthesizer creates a white creature token, but is legal in a deck. The way to tell if you can use a card is if it has the symbol , , , , or . If it simply says the word white, to use the Experimental Synthesizer example, it is legal with any commander that uses .

To determine how many lands of a given color to add, aim for the same balance as the card color requirements. On TappedOut, there's a pie chart by this comments section. The closer the inner circle matches up with the outer circle, the more accurate your land balance will be.

You can also go the more math-intensive route and count the number of symbols of each color in your deck and divide that by the number of land slots. So if you have, say, 80 and 40 across all the mana costs in your deck, you will want twice as many lands that produce as lands that produce .

As you expand your collection, look for lands that can produce more than one color of mana. These are available at every level, from the common Swiftwater Cliffs and Izzet Guildgate to the rare and valuable Steam Vents and Fiery Islet. These can take the place of a basic land of either color, but remember, you can only have one of each card in Commander, aside from basic lands.

Also important are other cards that can produce mana. Arcane Signet, Sol Ring, and Izzet Cluestone are all examples of these.

Hi Saccox. Glad to see you are playing commander! I think you might want a little more ramp. You could add Sky Diamond, Fire Diamond, Izzet Signet, Izzet Cluestone, and Izzet Keyrune. I think those are pretty cheap.

Ok, so a couple of ideas when it comes to cutting. Here's the criteria I generally use:

  1. What cards do I already have? Keep those.

  2. What cards are super expensive that I don't own? Cut those unless absolutely needed for the deck to function.

  3. What cards am I likely to use in other builds? Something like Arcane Signet has better long-term value in a commander collection than Talisman of Creativity.

  4. What cards best advance my gameplan? Is my plan to damage my opponents with drawing cards? Is it to create tokens while casting instants and sorceries? While it's fine to have a back-up plan, consider reducing or eliminating cards that do not advance your main plan.

  5. What situations am I weak to? Be sure to have cards to help you with that. In this case, your deck may be prone to drawing itself out, so make sure you have plenty of cards that increase your hand size.

That said, my top picks for removal are (if you don't own them): Into the Roil, Unleash Fury, Gitaxian Probe, Ponder, Serum Visions. Those spells are great in faster formats like Modern, etc., but would only be good in a very fast competitive commander environment. Mine is more casual, but your mileage may vary. I'd probably drop Izzet Cluestone and Izzet Keyrune unless they're cards you have or are budget-friendly alternatives for things like Talisman of Creativity. Good luck!

Vessel of Endless Rest warum willst du das spielen?

All of these cards work well when you are running basically just mountains, running blue splits their power, and using non basics reduces their effectiveness even further. Downhill Charge , Granite Grip , and Seismic Strike .

These cards are ok, but don’t really work with your primary concept. Titan's Strength I like this for the scry, and if it drew a card it’d be fine, but as a combat trick it’s pretty meh. Kavu Scout is at most a 2/2 for two in this deck. Kraken's Eye is pretty passive life gain, but it’s not going to win the game for you, and it is pretty unlikely to save you too (it does improve with some of the buy back spells I list later). The problem with Akroan Crusader is that if we cut the combat tricks this card becomes way weaker, and even with the tricks, it’s not got a high likelihood of having both at the same time. Why would we run that when we can run cards like Crackling Drake ?

Strider Harness is good, but it is over costed for what it does.

These cards are neat, but there are better options that are better suited to what you are trying to do. Lava Axe , and Warbringer .

Whisk Away I’m not loving this card, it is alright. It’s just low bang for the buck.

As for some cards that might help things, the issue I see is that your plan has a lot of draw, and some control, but not a lot of ways to win. As it is your commander is basically the only way you have of making use of the draw, out side of trying to win with Jace. Winning with Jace is gonna be tough cause you have to draw him, and then mill through your deck, it is possible just hard. So most of the suggestions are cards that work well with casting a lot of draw spells, or removal. This makes your plan of drawing a lot of cards do something other than drawing a lot of cards. Just like your commander they are all going to do something when you draw, or cast a spell. Talrand, Sky Summoner , Saheeli, Sublime Artificer , Murmuring Mystic , Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind , Guttersnipe , and Psychosis Crawler are all great for your deck.

You’ve got a bunch of good draw, but you missed a few older cards that are incredible like Arcanis the Omnipotent , Brainstorm , Opt , Treasure Cruise , and Faithless Looting .

Swarm Intelligence is great for casting a lot of spells.

A thing that might happen is running out of gas. So cards that give repeated use like flashback and buy back are huge. They mean you’ll always have something to do, and offer more value because of your cards that trigger on spell cast, or card draw. Some good examples include Mystic Retrieval , Fanning the Flames , Whispers of the Muse , Shattering Pulse , and though it is a little bit more expensive Capsize which is incredibly powerful and super annoying for other people to deal with if they can’t outright counter it.

AEtherize is just a super good card for the deck.

Your deck should basically just draw a whole lot of cards, and having the mana to play them is super important. I’d likely look at increasing the number of mana rocks (artifacts that make mana) in there, and making sure that you’re never hurting for your second color. Some solid suggestions for that are Izzet Signet , Izzet Cluestone , Commander's Sphere , Izzet Boilerworks , Terramorphic Expanse , Desolate Lighthouse , and Memorial to Genius is just great for your draw plan.
