So I've been wondering what to do with my playset of Undead Alchemist and I noticed Undercity Informer . I like the sac a creature for an effect, especially when the effect creates more fodder...synergy yay!

I'm also looking at Diregraf Captain and see a nice little bleed combo. Throw in some Grimgrin and some mill/control and it seems kinda fun. What are your thoughts?

I think you should run the new cipher/mill-type cards over Undercity Informer , mainly Paranoid Delusions or even Mind Grind . There are stronger creature-sac outlets available over Undercity Informer , mainly Bloodthrone Vampire and Falkenrath Aristocrat .

While you won't get the mill, you will have a really strong creature. Bloodthrone Vampire with Paranoid Delusions ciphered on and Undead Alchemist ? You get a boat load of creatures and have something huge. Falkenrath Aristocrat has flying + haste, making it really hard to stop the cipher from triggering.

That's just my two cents.

If I ciphered the spell to the Bloodthrone Vampire it's just waiting to get three for one'd. But it's a powerful engine for sure. I just like the self-sustainability of the alchemist/informer. Nothing to say Bloodthrone couldn't take part too. I dunno.

Yeah it's just a suggestion. I'm not the biggest fan of Bloodthrone Vampire , but Undercity Informer has that stupid mana cost AND sacrificing a creature to trigger his ability. I think cards like Consuming Aberration or Mind Grind or Paranoid Delusions would be stronger than Undercity Informer . Keep in mind, you can always cast Paranoid Delusions , trigger Undead Alchemist , then cipher then Paranoid Delusions onto the zombie token.

Note that if you cipher onto a zombie while Undead Alchemist is out you will not be able to trigger it again. The player will mill instead of taking damage. Since damage is never dealt, cipher is never triggered.

Yeah, the same way that Sword of Body and Mind doesn't get the trigger and the milling.

I've been working on something similar using Duskmantle Guildmage to convert my milling into addition life loss. The deck is still at the first stages of development and is intended for casual play but you can look at it here if you want.
