I think we will have more G/W heroic, this card just triggers3 Heroic for 3-cost? Think it's awesome

It does but it has to be 3 different creatures, not 3 counters on one creature. It's therefore best placed as a late-game play, when you already have the board presence. I think I still prefer the flexibility you get with Common Bond .

While true that Common Bond allows you to put both on the same creature, in terms of herioc triggers, Common Bond only triggers it once.

Thankfully, this spell does state "up to 3", meaning that if you only have 1-2 creatures, but are in need of the counters, or the heroic triggers, you won't be forced to target an opponent's creature.

I would love to see someone get 3x Phalanx Leader in play, and target each of them with this... 12x +1/+1 counters for 3 mana? Yes, please!

@Rayenous - guaranteed follow up in that scenario: Detention Sphere .

I think we'll see a lot more G/W and/or Bant this upcoming season based on the cards we've seen spoiled so far. Voice of Resurgence and his pal Loxodon Smiter are still standard after all.

the card Reap What Is Sown states place a +1/+1 counter on each of "up to" 3 creatures this means that all three can be placed on one creature because of the card stating up to. If i am wrong about this ,which i don't think I am, then yes this would mean triple heroic counter is completely possible.

Nope. Says on gatherer that you can't do that.

"up to three target" means "Zero, One, Two or Three targets" You can't pick the same thing more than once for that. Never have been.

Also, Rayenous, you did your math wrong on the Phalanx Leader s. They all get 1 from Reap What Is Sown , then they all trigger, giving each other 3 additional +1/+1's. Leader A gets 1 from Reap, one from his trigger, then 1 from Leader B and 1 from Leader C. B gets 1 from Reap, one from trigger, 1 from Leader A and 1 from Leader C. C gets 1 from Reap, one from trigger, 1 from Leader A and 1 from Leader B. So you would have a total of 3 5/5's, and like actiontech says, D Sphere is sure to follow, unless Bile Blight was cast in response to Reap What Is Sown

Pethrax you just told Rayenous that the combo wouldn't create 12x +1/+1 counters, then said they each get 4 counters, 4 x 3 = 12. He obviously meant 12 total not 12 each.

And Detention Sphere is only an issue if 1. you're playing a U/W deck 2. they have one in hand and 3. can survive until their turn to play it. Even if they manage to get it off you've just hit for a minimum of 15 provided they all hit and they're your only creatures.

I'm currently playing and refining at G/W Heroic Deck using the Reap What Is Sown + Heroic Creatures combo (as well as others) and it works amazingly well, the main issue isn't removal of your own creatures, it's lack of removal for other peoples creatures. I've mainboarded Ratchet Bomb which seems to work very nicely a lot of the time to try and remedy that problem.

Selesnya Charm is no where near the card it was six months ago, unfortunately. You're going to have to rely on Divine Verdict s. I don't see much else of a way to change that up without breaking theme. Personally, I'm not sure why Fall of the Hammer + Sedge Scorpion isn't a thing yet.

This really isn't a very good card, even in a heroic build. It's very rare in todays meta to have enough creatures running around to make full use of the card and there are better options for multiple triggering in standard right now. Nice in limited though.

I also run this build and agree that the lack of removal can be a bit problematic. The most cost effective option is something like Pacifism which is pretty lame. Although with Unflinching Courage and multiple heroic triggers you can usually outclass everything that doesn't get hit with Selesnya Charm

Pethrax while your end result is correct I would remind you that the heroic triggers go on the stack after Reap What Is Sown , so they will resolve first. The Phalanx Leader s will get counters from themselves before they get counters from Reap What Is Sown .
