Rec-Sage becoming obsolete?

With the printing of Knight of Autumn, is Reclamation Sage becoming obsolete? With the exception of mono green and other non-supportive mana bases, Knight of Autumn is just better. Will this be seen in some decks as main-deckable hate/lifegain/beater? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

The Knight of Autumn was fairly powerful and versatile when playing in the pre-release. It is powerful enough to be run in the main deck and much better than reclamation sage in my opinion.

Considering its a possibility that we see a white token deck using Dawn of Hope and Divine Visitation, I wouldn't be surprised to see it run in all decks who can.

Yep, Wrecky is out if you got the colors for KoA.

Knight of Autumn is straight up superior if mana bases support him. Mainboard 4-power beater for 3, anti-aggro/burn tech, or pop an artifact or enchantment for Bogles, Affinity variants, KCI, you name it...it's like a sideboard card on the mainboard — and it's able to work with Collected Company, too. Reclamation Sage will probably still have a home in Elves, though, so he's not entirely out of Modern or even Legacy.

I think cards like Reclamation Sage --> Knight of Autumn are good juxtapositions to represent power creep, even though the Knight is more difficult to cast than the Sage due to requiring a second color.

I think all has been said :) If you can run the Knight, do so. If you really can't, play Rec-sage.

absolutely if you have the colors for it.

decks like elves and titanshift will porpably favour sage but unless you have a special reason to do so you will play the knight

Thank you! I will consider ordering 3 more for the sideboard. Although more color intensive, I am sure I will feel better about side boarding them in. Well Rec Sage had it's perks, KoA has all of them and more.

Outside of Mana restrictions the only reason for Reclamation Sage being a "better" pick that comes to mind is it's an Elf that elf decks can hit with Collected Company/Lead the Stampede.

I play amulet and I’m not cutting rec sage for autumn. Rec sage is a silver bullet for summoners pact in the deck to deal with blood moon and damping sphere, both which are very difficult to deal with with knight due to the white cost.

Chillsabre: Dawn of Hope and Divine Visitation probably won't see much play in modern if any.

I know it's better, but the thread was 'Is rec sage becoming obsolete?'

Nope. Not obsolete. In decks like Scapeshit Reclamation Sage will still be used. In decks where you have to destoy a blood moon, it will be used. The white/green cost is a real barrier for those who just need to destroy an enchantment or artifact.
