Hi everyone,

For a while now, I have posted way, waaaaaaaay too many times on this forum on what deck to play, now the time has come I need to finalize to modern decks to play for an extended period of time. The first deck out of two I will be playing is eldrazi and taxes, this won't be changed since I have gathered many of the pieces for it. For my second modern deck I need a 300-400$ deck, I'm looking at pyromancer since I have many of the parts for that, but Grishoalbrand looks fun too. So I have gathered a list of decks that would be something I would be happy to play, If you (the reader) could give me advice on how these decks are positioned and how they would play in the close future that would be great! Now, onto the Decks:- Mardu Pyromancer- Skred Red- Counters Company- Grishoalbrand

Those are the decks of course there are room for more and I would love to hear your opinion thank you and have a great day!

I love my Grisel Cannon, ENRAGED! deck. Been playing it for a long time, but it's way way over $400 anymore, so many price spikes. I do have a few foils in mine, and tappedout lists it at like $1200.

But it's my baby and I'll keep playing it and updating it with each set.

HOWEVER, Spirit Soul Bomb is a list I invented after streamer Brewspythemagicguy started playing an Esper Goryos list using Iname, and I decided to make it a full combo deck instead of a control style list, and Torgaar, Famine Incarnate from Dominaria sealed the deal on it, with Goryo's Vengeance being the most expensive card in the list, for now.

Dorotheus Aw now I'm sad, but on the very very bright side, I love this deck you showed me, I think im going to proxy it out and play it a bit thanks for the idea!

Goryo's Vengeance being a 50 dollar card, what a world we live in...

Honestly, I think a Primeval Titan + Azusa deck is a bit more up your alley at that budget. Besides Azusa, there is hardly anything very expensive in that deck and by not playing an early game focused black-red deck you avoid 50 dollar Blackcleave Cliffs.

In terms of positioning out of those mentioned, Mardu pyromancer is by far the best of those mentioned, followed by Counters Company and Grishoalbrand.

Boza Sounds great! I will look into amulet titan, I have tested with it before its a very complex deck. How do you think skred is positioned? (Just trying to get all sides) thank you for your help!

Skred red is not well positioned and its individual pieces are expensive, without much further use. You have to buy say 20 Snow-Covered Mountain, which is a lot that have 0 use in other decks.

As neat or as fun as Skred is.... it's not safe by any means of the word or the context.

Personally, I think if people want Skred to stay relevant it's better off being a UR deck with Snapcaster Mage and really focus on the control aspects of it, but overall most would then say just play Jeskai Control or UW Control and that Path to Exile is a safer and stronger card than Skred or Dismember in a vacuum.
