A new commander for me?

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello everyone, so ive decided upon making a U/B or U/B/R commander deck but none really stand out to me, except bolas who i dont want to build because my friends has him already.

Dude! Sedris Of Warcraft is THE commander. Everything about him from his story to art to ability is simply begging to be played in commander.

For U/B I would recommend Lazav, Dimir Mastermind he is good for a mill style deck plus he has hexproof so that's always a bonus. for U/B/R i would say either go with Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge , a personal favorite of mine, or Nekusar, the Mindrazer , I absolutely hate facing that bastard. He looks like he would be fun to face, everyone draws tons of cards, but then that 1 ping per draw starts to add up OR they put infect on the bugger.

If you like competitive combos you have Marchesa, the Black Rose, Mishra, Artificer Prodigy, and Nekusar, the Mindrazer who builds himself.

If you like more fun and janky combos look no further than Lord of Tresserhorn who enables so much shenanigans.

Also Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge if you want to play someone else's deck, and those are all the notable grixis commanders (except for obviously Bolas)

Szadek, Lord of Secrets could make a better mill commander than Oona if you make a tron build with Szadek's Dagger as an auto include.

I'm a go brew this.

Wrexial, the Risen Deep!

He's a fatty with some pretty decent evasion abilities, plus his triggered ability takes advantage of people just playing the game. Commander damage wins aren't unheard of, but throw some mill in the deck and you really increase the value you get out of him.

Control the board enough so you don't die and swing for the fences!

Dragonlord Silumgar can be fun. He's pretty open ended and doesn't need to be built around. Though I built a thief deck, and it's pretty fun.

I second a vote for Sedris, the Traitor King. I haven't had my own build together in a while, but there is just so much flavor and power to be had in the right brew.

Gwendlyn Di Corci can be quite a solid commander if you're wanting to play for the colours.
