More Midrange. —Aug. 5, 2015

In accordance with the current Modern meta, I have decided to go for a more Midrange build, utilizing more hand hate and creature destruction as opposed to an aggro build. It has seemed more fruitful thus far.

Why is this the most hated? I don't get it?

I don't think the word rape should be banned, but you should appreciate the fact that using it makes you look like a mindless 14 year old boy with no regard for other people's feelings. But feel free to be that person if that's who you want to be.

EricTorre Like the word, fork, it's just such an immature word. All these younglings nowadays forking it all up. Use chopsticks god dammit.

Unless I didn't see it in your previous comments, what about Shadow Alley Denizen? I have a friend who runs a mono black (I believe) vampire deck, and having a bunch of flying, intimidate vampires is nothing to sneeze at.

Also, your sideboard seems to favor creature deck matchups, and doesn't really have an answer for blue. I would suggest maybe Guttural Response or Chalice of the Void, and take out the odd 5th Thoughtseize.

Love your deck man. I had the same exact idea, but my allegiances lay with Demons :D +1 from me. I think Painful Quandary, Blood Tribute, and Geth's Verdict are all awesome cards to consider for disruption/control. Check out mine sometime if you're up for it Demons and their Gangbangs

Besides Versict, I think those cards are too high costing for the deck where it is right now. The curve is both very good and delicate to maintain.

Just my thoughts :)

This looks absolutely great! +1

I was wondering, how is Stromkirk Captain working out for you? I've been considering running it in mine but I'm afraid that he might be too slow. I'm also surprised to see that you're not running more copies of Falkenrath Aristocrat. They have been absolutely stellar in my version and close out the game nicely.

Would you mind checking out my list if you get the chance? It could be found here: Budget Modern: Fangin' and Bangin'. I'm on a budget so your deck is obviously much more tuned but I would appreciate some pointers based on your experience.

+1 from Me. I have a vampire deck that I've been tinkering with, and I was wondering if you ever considered Blade of the Bloodchief equip it to a nighthawk burn some opponents down, sac your sac-ables, and watch the lifelink become too much to handle. The benefit being that you get the counters on your creatures as well as your opponents.
