Needed More Card Draw —Nov. 16, 2016

After playtesting, the deck often stalls mid game due to not enough options. I analysed what was causing this and I found that there really wasn't enough card draw to keep my hand fuelled. There was enough ramp so I cut to top end of artifact ramp and since most creatures aren't super impactful with ETB triggers or really affecting the board state, I also cut a reanimation spell. Card draw in the form of a creature is also good since it increases the likelihood of triggering Sidisi.

  1. Gilded Lotus -> Treasure Cruise
  2. Stitch Together -> Cryptbreaker

Realised I needed a "haste outlet" creature in my grave to get off the Necrotic Ooze combo.

Havengul Lich -> Thornling

Considering replacing Extractor Demon with Rotting Rats or Geralf's Masterpiece. The Demon is good when I hard-cast it for filling up the graveyard slowly, but rarely do I ever resort to that. And when it is in the grave, rarely will I revive it just for some extra value milling.

Rotting Rats and Geralf's Masterpiece are useful in getting combo pieces out of my hand into the graveyard after I've milled my library. They also help with flashing-back Dread Return. Rotting Rats is less mana intensive but only gets one card out of my hand, while Geralf's Masterpiece gets three, I doubt I'll be trying to combo off with three key cards still in my hand. The body on Geralf's Masterpiece is pretty irrelevant, while Rotting Rats ability could damage opponents while helping me.

I could also keep Extractor Demon and cut something else for Rotting Rats.
