More Stomp —Feb. 7, 2017
The deck felt like it needed a little bit more aggro to pressure opponents:
Brainstorm ---> Kalonian Hydra: Brainstorm is great but this deck doesn't really care about manipulating the top of the deck just once. Kalonian Hydra becomes more and more unmanageable with each attack.
Brutalizer Exarch ---> Verdurous Gearhulk: I liked the exarch's flexibility but 6 mana for a 3/3 always felt like a little much. Verdurous Gearhulk is an efficiently costed beater in its own right or the counters can be placed on Thassa, God of the Sea or Kruphix, God of Horizons to make a massive indestructible beater.
Explosive Vegetation ---> Mind Stone: Similar to my thinking around Skyshroud Claim last update, ramp is more important BEFORE Rashmi comes out. Now all of my ramp costs 1-3 mana.
