This is my big black deck.
The style and feel of this deck is mono black control. I use my deck to control what I want on the battlefield. I build budget deck that usually cap at 25$, so I have a little room to grow with this design.
The deck's biggest combo is between Carnifex Demon and... well another Carnifex Demon. Bouncing -1/-1 counters back and forth between each Carnifex Demon allows me to remove any other creature(including my own). I typically wait until the last minute to use his ability in case my opponent tries to Lightning Bolt or Murder him.
Skinrender is a nice removal creature that can also serve to add more fuel to Carnifex Demon's fire. And even with 2 Heartless Summoning out on the battlefields, Skinrender has enough toughness to survive both enchantments.
Rune-Scarred Demon is my big black demon, he helps build some of the combos and he hits for usually unblocked damage.
I use Distress and Duress as instant, sorcery, and enchantment removal. Being mono black, I don't have access to the other colors removal. So I decided to use these to handle spells I couldn't otherwise handle.
Heartless Summoning gets my coolest creatures out much faster with little negative effect.
For a little extra opponent life loss and a boost late game when I have extra mana, I put in Exsanguinate. Simply, it either helps me survive until the next turn, or helps make my opponent dead.
Sign in Blood is how I maintain card advantage. Sometimes with Heartless Summoning I can run out of cards in my hand.
Diabolic Tutor is pretty self explanatory, searching for another Carnifex Demon or my game ender can make a huge difference.
Murder is another creature removal that might stall my opponent for a turn. I'm think to switch it out for another card, I just haven't decided what this deck needs more of yet.
Any help, feedback, or discussion I would love, and as usual, +1's are much appreciated. Thanks for taking a look!
