I'm really trying to avoid creatures, honestly I'd only have 7 total if there was a better token generator than Chasm Skulker in standard.

I'm also trying to avoid the sets that are rotating out in the next few months.

I tried to make this deck in Izzet colors some time ago but it was just too slow so I gave up, what i noticed was that you need to be able to sift trough your deck fast to find what you need, so bunch of scry and draw.I don't like Into the Void as it's a sorc so against aggro i'd say AEtherize would be better, also you probably need to protect your guys from exile and bounce so I think Mizzium Skin is great and when you can, you could use it as a buff for your slimes to finish your opponent.

I considered both of those cards, but I decided against using cards from the sets that are rotating out in the next couple months. But looking right now, AEtherize is undeniably better than Into the Void , so I think I'll make a temporary exemption for it.

I like your deck--however, I think you'll find this improved over Into the Void Use AEtherize It's blue. It uses 4 mana. But it gets rid of all opposing critters--not just two. Yes, it's going away with the upcoming (September?) change--but it's cheap. So why not use it now.

Also, with all your blue--and using Leviathan--you could use Whelming Wave Now, unfortunately, you're going to lose your squids, but you won't lose your Stormtide Leviathan . Let's imagine that your opponent doesn't have an Island. You use Jalira, Master Polymorphist and get your Stormtide Leviathan . The next turn you use Whelming Wave (this card is going to be in Standard for awhile--AEtherize is strictly better) and it lifts all the opponent critters out of the way so your Leviathan can't be chump blocked.

Finally, consider adding a card that can convert opponent creatures into tokens. Yes, it's a two step process--but if you use an instant to convert the attackers into tokens and give them summoning sickness, and then the following turn put the tokens in the opponent's hand, then the tokens die. That way, the opponent can't just put the same old card right back in your face.

whoops, i see there's some conversation on AEtherize already

Whelming Wave is currently sideboarded because it's uses are limited.

However, I like your point about exiling tokens, and I think Curse of the Swine is the obvious way to do it.

Here is what I did and it works amazing. I made this deck, and splashed white. Raise the Alarm and Triplicate Spirits fuels your deck insanely. Then you add nothing but massive Leviathans, Krakens and Serpents. Stormtide Leviathan is your bell of the ball and hopefully you draw it after you poly, but Kraken of the Straits mixed with stormtide is brutal. Kraken of the Straits reads, that he can't be blocked by creatures with power less than the number of islands you control, and stormtide makes all your lands islands in addition to their other types. I also added Fireshrieker if you double strike your stormtide forget it. swing for 16? fug get about it.

The first version of this deck splashed white, but I ended up cutting all of the white cards except for Raise the Alarm , so I just removed it and made the deck mono-blue. When Khans comes out I'll see if splashing white can give me some more useful cards to put in, but until then this deck is being shelved.

Actually, I'm excited for this deck again.

I'm going to look around for some ideas and make quite a few changes.
