Tournament #8: Top 4 —Nov. 16, 2014

Round One: Zoo-- 1-2 (I punted game 3) Round Two: Affinity-- 2-0 Round Three: Elves!!-- 2-1 Top Four: Fish-- 1-2

Bought a Flooded Strand as my entry and pulled a foil Flooded Strand out of the two packs I won. Now I have a playset (yay!)

25 lands sounds incredibly intensive, especially with Celestial Colonnade. You could probably switch the 3rd Tectonic Edge into a coloured source, because you run 4 lands which don't produce colour, or fetch. I'd only play 3 maximum.

I'd recommend switching the Wrath of God in the sideboard with the mainboarded Supreme Verdict. Wrath is easier to cast in general, and can lead to your opponent sideboarding incorrectly to counter it when you switch it for Supreme Verdict.

@JexInfinite: I've been wanting to add in more copies of Flooded Strand. I just don't own them yet. When I do, I think I'll swap out a Steam Vents and maybe Grim Lavamancer for them. The three Tectonic Edge are there for Affinity and Zoo, two decks that are prevalent in my area. Those matches can be difficult if they get an Inkmoth Nexus or Raging Ravine out.

The Supreme Verdict was a recent change to deal with Delver. Normally, I'm playing Wrath of God. But lately, there's been enough decks running around in my meta with creatures backed up by countermagic.

Raging Ravine is more of a Jund card than Zoo, but it definitely can work in Big Zoo. That's more of a local meta call, which is justifiable.

Against small creature decks, Anger of the Gods is amazing. Because of it's 3 CMC, you can back it up with counter magic much easier than you can with Wraths.
