$80 and a dream

In YuGiOh, there's a product called a Structure Deck that gets released every four months or so that's supposed to be a complete theme in and of itself. These often contains cards that are just as powerful as those in a typical set of cards, and it's not uncommon to see new players get into the game by spending $30 on three and building a deck from those cards.

I figured, why not try something similar for Magic? The new Duel Deck just game out and it contains some very powerful cards for both the Merfolk and Goblin tribes. In theory, with four of these you could build a decent Merfolk and Goblin deck.

This is the list I came up with for the Goblin Deck, which tries to be like Modern 8-Whack as much as possible. Not having Bushwhackers makes that difficult, so we play as many 1 cost cards as possible and try to use Wardriver as a replacement. Relentless Assault also functions as a wincon once we get enough of a board going.
