How can I get rid of progenitus?

Things that don't target Progenitus , like Wrath of God , Diabolic Edict , etc., will kill Proggy just fine.

tribute to hunger or geth's verdict or supreme verdict or damnation or day of judgement. none of those target which will destroy it. and a judge said that oblivion ring works on it as well as emrakul since they don't target.

Protection from X means:
- Prevent all damage that would be dealt to this by sources of quality X
- This can't be enchanted/quipped by cards of quality X
- This can't be blocked by creatures of quality X
- This can't be targeted by sources of quality X

Anything that doesn't try to do one of the above can be used against protection: mass non-targeted removal, forced sacrifice, etc.

"Protection from X" means four things:
Damage that would be dealt to this object by a source of quality X is prevented.
This object can't be enchanted or equipped by objects of quality X.
This object can't be blocked by creatures of quality X.
This object can't be targeted by spells or abilities of quality X.

As long as the spell or ability in question is trying to deal damage to, equip/enchant, block, or target Progenitus , it will resolve properly.

@Schuesseled Protection from X works only while the card is on the battlefield. As long as it is on the stack, it does not have protection, so it can be countered.

Phantasmal Image if you want to do that on the cheap, of course then you have to play blue.

@[user:Deck_Maniac], I'm not sure why the judge told you that, since Oblivion Ring targets and thus wouldn't work on Progenitus . I do believe Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is still a valid target for the Ring, though, since Oblivion Ring 's targeting is an ability.

Like everyone else said, go for sac effects or non-targeting board-sweeps.

less common but -X/-X effects can also kill a Progenitus as long as they're non-targeting. Such as a Mutilate with sufficient swamps.
