Gaining by a creature taking damage?
Asked by TowerOfBad 14 years ago
So, in my deck I have a creature that often takes hundreds of damage in a game. (card:Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo + Darksteel Plate )
I was looking through my cards, trying to find something that would benefit me from him taking so much damage.

Personal Incarnation , Darien, King of Kjeldor , and Soul Warden , just a favorite of mine.
Basically you always end up with just tons of tokens, never take damage, and have a creature that beats for a little.
But as Epochalyptik said Pariah is probably the best for that combo.
It also works well with Empyrial Archangel

Vengeful Archon is another good one for damage prevention.

Vigor could be interesting combined with Opal-Eyes' "damage me instead" effect.
Rite of Passage , for the same reasons.

then toss on Darksteel Plate . except infect beats it down then. set it up with the green creature card that cant have counters placed on it.

Darien, King of Kjeldor + any card that gives you life when a creature enters the battlefield.

card:Druid's Call, Soul Link , and Rite of Passage all seem to assist with this theme :)

Luminarch Ascension is a fantastic card when paired with damage prevention.
Darien, King of Kjeldor (although YOU have to take the damage to gain from his ability)
Wall of Hope + Darksteel Plate
Pariah is a good card to pair with any indestructible creature, especially Wall of Hope.
