it's good with Forbidden Orchard or anything else with the drawback of "give your opponent creatures" like Curse of the Swine .

Kamigawa block has a bunch of stuff that's good with it too. Tenza, Godo's Maul , Hero's Demise , the legendary lands like Minamo, School at Water's Edge , etc.

Does it only refer to nonland permanents in play, or just nonland permanents in general? If so, the podium could be "1: Draw a card"

scopesightzx: nonland permanent means it's on the battlefield. Nonland permanent card means it's not on the battlefield.

As to uses for the leyline? Yeah, basically sideboard tech vs. Kiki. Curse of the Swine is a bit expensive even with the leyline, and Hero's Downfall is too situational if you don't draw the leyline. It can also be used against storm into Empty the Warrens ?

Whoops, that should be Hero's Demise , not Hero's Downfall . Oh, it's also good against Lingering Souls and Young Pyromancer .

it's also good as a way to kill your creatures just by playing creatures. You could make a token deck with Dark Prophecy and just legend bomb all your stuff to draw cards. Add in some Soul Sisters, or Blood Artist and you don't even have to worry about bleeding yourself dry
