Favorite Basic Land Art

I have never really put much thought into my basic lands besides using the special arts like the innistrad B&W lands (i.e. Swamp) or the kamigawa neon dynasty lands (i.e. Swamp). However, recently I have started to pay more attention to the art of all the cards in my deck rather than just the key cards in the deck, and my attention is turning to basics lands.

So I am curious to know which sets host your favorite basic land art. For me currently I think it has to be the basic lands from Mirage (i.e. Mountain) and Invasion (i.e. Forest).

I'm a sucker for the full-art lands, particularly the Theros: Beyond Death lands, the Dominaria United lands, and my favorite has to be the Unfinity lands. Can't wait for the latter two to release because I will definitely be swapping my lands for those.

Oh, and I also have a Plains which has to be my favorite land that I physically own.

I love the Theros Beyond Death lands, I have ~10 of each that I swap between decks

I’ll never be able to rank anything above the originals. Mirage is up there though; VERY good looking. I like the less-busy lands a lot more than the elaborate ones. I absolutely do not approve of lands that have creatures or people in them, for some reason. Not sure where that came from, but it’s a hard line I’ve found I don’t want to cross.

Since discovering John Avon's basics in early years, I've been using only those and never looked back. Although I admit there are so much other great arts for basics, I am very biased towards Avon lands. I noticed some of the posters here also have the same opinion.

You know, I actually really liked in AFR where they added flavor text to basic lands. It just made them feel very in-world, and it added something for me.

I've got a soft spot for the "Nighttime shot" lands from War of the Spark. Also for the Avacyn Restored lands being more vibrant, daytime shots of the original Innistrad basics.

In Modern I tend to use my Unstable basics.

I think full art ones should be exempt here. It's not really fair to compare them to regular ones. lol

I'm the kind of guy that uses specific basics for my decks depending on the theme, but some of my favorite ones are :

This classic M19 Plains (which is a reprint but I was introduced to the game around M19 so it's an M19 Plains for me)

The World Tree Kaldheim Island

This Eldraine Swamp

All five of the Amonkhet Monument lands, like this AKH Mountain

The Rivals of Ixalan basics by Dimitar, most notably this Forest

That being said, all of the basic land art for Dominaria United looks incredible, too! One of the best parts of spoiler season, for me, is when they reveal basic land art. You get so much of the theme of the setting from them. I love it.
