Hello its me again with another leading speculation. Deck ideas, yes I am crazy as some may think but I need help. I have created vampires, werewolves, rats, soldiers, slivers, myrs, zombies, allies, goblins, elves, vehicles and am currently working in another thread Life of an Angel on a GW angel token swarm deck. With all of these decks flying around its hard to think if new stuff. But thats why I am asking for any and all ideas no matter how weird, sslow or fast, fun or absolute rage quit, I hope that you guys can help me out here. Any and all ideas are welcomed and hopefully we all can collaborate with each other and make some fascinating decks. Thanks in advanced!

Hmmmmm I love this concept man thanks for the awesome idea. Eye of the Storm is kinda OP if used in the right deck from what your telling me and what the card says. A very interesting concept.

have you ever tried showing your opponents the door, or 4 horsemen legacy?
door: There's the Door!
4 horsemen: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/legacy-type-1-5/developing-legacy/181684-deck-the-four-horsemen
happy trolling

chaosumbreon87: Four horsemen has has an issue with it that it basically invokes "slow play" warnings as you can't guarantee the reshuffle order. While it's cute, you can't really play it anywhere.

I mean the challenge was no matter how slow. Yes 4 horsemen is banned in tournament but fits the desired deck idea. Also, neither of these decks are that compeditive, they are just fun/cute ideas

Fair enough. Just thought it was worth mentioning. Though I reckon you could get a version of it working by adding an additional Dread Return and a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant. Now you've got me interested :P

If you want to collab this sultai version, I think I can justify lab man and gitrog monster as a third win con

Hey there. It is easy to get stuck with tribal decks, one thing I like to do when designing decks is to think of a theme of which to try and build around. Then around the theme I amass a huge amount of ideas and cards, then look at what is working together, what's thematic, and focus it down and down until the deck is a well balanced, fun, strong deck, but with the theme at the heart of it.
So an example I was helping someone with was 'Dark Forest' theme, so mine boiled down to a base of Gnarlwood Dryad, Splinterfright, and Ishkanah, Grafwidow, but there are so many directions to take it in.
Decks I've enjoyed designing which are fun and challenging to make thematic and decent decks, are things such as Pirates, Voodoo, Village, stuff like that.
For more specific decks, Maze's End, Sphere of Safety, those sort of cards are fun to build around. Or build around something that isn't a win con, such as Mentor of the Meek, and have fun with where the deck takes you. Build a miracle deck up with deck stacking cards like Ponder, and Noxious Revival.
Just a few little bits to think about, a few things I look at when looking for new deck ideas.

My advise would be to try building a deck not based around a tribal theme. In fact, try building something that's not based around creatures (obviously you're still allowed to run them). One of the cards I always have fun working with is Eye of the Storm. For eample, you could build a deck that plays only sorceries except for EotS and Spellshift and the whole deck is designed to be played in one turn (a friend of mine from university once had a deck like this). Personally I designed an interation of the deck to use a 200 card sideboard and win with Research and Battle of Wits (the starting deck size was still only 60 cards). There are some really stupid things you can do and it gets the brain juices flowing a bit more than throwing together another tribal deck IMHO.
