Lilbrudder I've been using Voidia's SBT list, with a few changes minor changes (don't have grim tutor/imp seal and traded away flusterstorms like an idiot a few months ago, using personal tutor, dispel and autumn's veil. Might be some others but don't have the deck in front of me). Anyway, he hasn't decided what changes Hulk brings to the deck, but since you've been pretty happy about it I'm definitely interested in the changes you'd make.

The primer is written for prehulk but I am really happy with the list right now. I think voidia bases many of his choices on his particular meta, which accounts for some of our different choices but we agree on most things. Hulk is not something we agree on but I am usually quicker to hop on unproven things than him. If you are on the discord pm me and I can invite you to the SBT channel where me, voidia, and others discuss all things SBT.

Im glad leovold is banned now, and glad hulk is unbanned. Meren will have fun with that, same with jarad. Any commander with mass haste (samut anyone?) will also love hulk if it dies. Anyone know when the AKH commanders will be added? im assuming in about 2-3 weeks but im not totally sure

when are the amonkhet gods being added to the list? anyone build a good deck based on any of the gods?

Why is Derevi on tier 2? I'm not saying he should be bumped up, but I have never played against a Derevi deck that was beatable/didn't make me go home and cry.

Question: We have a player who plays Narset in our meta and has it tuned to quite a massive extent. (T2 narset is frequent)

Now, I built Tazri and I have no problem comboing out before he can "go off" but since my playgroup does these matches for money they like to play out for second for payout (the comboing player picks up and exits securing first leaving the game to be fought out) and I feel really bad about comboing out and leaving the table to his devices (he frequently takes 30+ minutes to kill the table).

Is there a competitive deck that I can play that stops narset without just singling him out and killing him?

Ohthenoises Nath stax could also be good. Or just stax in general. Making stuff cost more and hating out creatures will shutdown Narset pretty hard.

TheRealClyde If Derevi makes you cry you should play aginast Teferi, Temporal Archmage stax, GAAIV stax, or Brago, King Eternal stax these are all much more oppressive. Deveri is harder to cast and his ability breaks parity worse than the higher tier stax decks.

Teferi is able to function with a Stasis out and has an (practically) infinite combo with The Chain Veil

Brago abuses ETB effects like Rishadan Brigand in addition to the usual stax pieces this will lock opponents out.

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV taxes the FUCK out of everyone and counters everything until comboing off with something like Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience

On a totally unrelated note, Derevi is a female bird wizard.

JaysonSunshine, you made a fallacy of the converse. (P->Q and Q) does not imply P ;) You could make an inductive case for it, but it's not as strong.

Not too sure where the arguements for flavor/gender of commander falls here.

Also, for any deck suggestions, I imagine the reason why narejed and beast-jiji (obligitory anime insert) are not around is work/finals so id wait until june for all deck suggestions. Feel free to compile a list, I probably will (makes comment clearing much easier).

Zenaku17 any specific commander you needed. Pretty sure someone could draft up a cEDH commander deck slightly faster if you said what commander you wanted rather than in general. If it is about the update, see above with narejed

I said that I have no problem comboing off and winning before him, I built Tazri after all. I just feel bad leaving the table having secured first already to deal with him on their own.

Also, what do we think of Approach of the Second Sun in a deck like GAAIV as a wincon? I know it's expensive (6 mana) but to me it feels very strong. I've played it a few times and the eventuality of it just wrecks you. GAAIV provides the right type of environment where he can tax you and prevent you from killing him and then just stall for 2-3 turns depending on card draw. Again, I know it's expensive but it's only one card you need to find and it combos with itself.

Ive been experimenting with it too and by gosh is it great (btw you linked a deck not the card). Id like to now play remand or hinder cause casual 14 to 15 mana combo.

I won 3/6 games (had 1 bye in a 4 rounder) of my sealed with it. Stupid easy.

Actually, speaking of Narset from before Narset would absolutely wreck with Approach of the Second Sun. (Wow, even with the card: prefix it won't link correctly)

Attack, get approach, cast it and an extra turn spell, it goes to the 7th, you draw (6th), attack (2nd), get an extra turn, draw (1), attack and cast Approach again for free.

Seems legit.

So as far as T1-2 decks what shuts off narset without just focusfireing them out of the game? Stax my only option?

you seem to be missing the IF IT WAS CAST FROM YOUR HAND clause. besides stax you have oona or tasigur to control the game. sharuum can indefinitely point bitter ordeal triggers and force an outcome. you could play almost any nooze devourer deck and shoot the narset player first and leave the others at 1 (ready to be shot on their upkeeps.

Of course, the premise is flawed, but does represent a significant amount of human reasoning about The Other.

will breaker is a deck. do you mean Willbreaker? also, in that case, why not memnarch over kefnet? Its prob going to be a simple combo deck until I can figure out a good enough alternate combo win condition.
