I didn't like it, because there were too many times it just wouldn't do anything, and has no real evasion. I'd rather drop a fattie that almost always has a direct and immediate impact on the game, rather than a 1/4 that will just get chumped or immediately splattered. There was only one time it worked, and it was a "win more" play at the time.

I can totally see where it can work, but it just didn't make the cut when I reduced the number of creatures in the deck to diversify the spell catalog.

I understand that. It works for me sinve there's ar least one player in my group that likes infinite life combos and I had to deal with him. Besides, by using Dauthi Embrace I give it evasion whenever needed. But yes, for me its more of a meta thing. I don't use a sideboard so I need to make the deck versatile so that I can have an answer for most strategies.

Looks like a great deck, nice steady mana curve toward that Reya Dawnbringer . How's the amount of white mana been? It may not matter since Kaalia of the Vast can just chuck out creatures with no regard for mana symbols... +1

@babydaggers Yeah, I've never hard-cast Reya Dawnbringer , so getting 3 white hasn't been an issue. That being said, if I have 9 mana available to me, odds are that I can do 3 white, usually, but I've never consciously tracked it. Yes, Kaalia solves it, and if need be I can find ways to put it in the GY and reanimate her to do so, so it's not a big deal. =) Thank you for the upvote!

+1 on a good deck. Maybe you can consider Dragon Tempest. Kaalia loves haste and most of your creatures fly any way. If you wouldn't mind check out my kaalia deck, Condemn and Rapture. Let me know what you think and how I could improve. And if you like it maybe give a +1.
