Sea Gate Wreckage is great but you only have 3 cards total of 2 lands that can help you pay that colorless mana cost (1x Calciform Pools and 2x Haunted Fengraf)

Blighted Cataract Might help both with paying that colorless mana cost and some stall preventing card draw. Pair it with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx if you're worried bout losing blue and that helps add both a huge blue source and another colorless for that pesky Seagate activation.

Those are good suggestions.

I can't justify adding Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx though. It's a fairly expensive card dependent on how many permanents are on the field. The way this deck plays, what with the constant bouncing of creatures and plays on the opponent's turns, the shrine becomes too inconsistent with my permanent count rarely ever getting very high against decks with removal. I am probably better off with another Calciform Pools to preserve blue mana.

Blighted Cataract is another story though. I could see this and Calciform Pools becoming best friends. I'll add one in alongside sea gate and an extra pools.

I like both of those alot. With only Familiar's Ruse and Cackling Counterpart might be able to add one of each.

Found that 4 colorless lands was the comfortable number that didn't screw me in the beginning but still showed up by the time my hand was actually empty to satisfy Sea Gate Wreckage.

With this many bounce effects I can play the lower odds until it is actually generating card draw.

Hey fella, I'm curious as to why you've gone for crystal shard over just putting two more quicklings? Does the deck have the legs to get the value out of the crystal shards?

Crystal Shard does so much for this deck. It's a later play for sure, turn 4 at the earliest, but its synergy is overwhelming in this deck.

It effectively destroys a land for most creature based decks as they can't spend that extra land without giving me a time walk.

It can counter lock most modern mana curves with only 2 other creatures on the field.

It can repeatedly lock up the opponent's mana base if they lack instant speed removal and you lack a counter (rarely). If a second shard is on the field or if you drew into an alternate way to bounce Mistbind Clique, you can start wiping their board of creatures during their main phase.

Defensively, you can chump block an attacker till the end of time, while triggering etb with Pestermite untapping the shard or Faerie Miscreant to flood your hand with answers.

Quickling is more of a one time use unless you are chaining them to block, and while it is an extra creature to bash with, it's not so good when facing board wipes or really big creatures. I also can't afford getting more than 1 in my opening hand. Two is my max with this low of a creature base, otherwise it's just a dead card.

It depends. But it generally comes between turn 7 and turn 10. Not a quick win but keep in mind you are countering everything they try to play from turn 2 on with the mistbind lock landing on turn 4.
