More playtesting and updates, continued —April 2, 2013

I decided to drop some of the slower and more situational cards to add a major boost to my ramp package. The deck now regularly gets to turn three Damia.

There is logic behind the choices, though. All of those spells are relatively expensive or color-saturated. Ramp gives me the ability to cast turn 2 or turn 3 Damias, which refill my hand and enable a combo shortly thereafter. Counterspells are good enough for the majority of threats, and the game shouldn't be going on long enough for me to have to deal with something that has already resolved.

I find Phyrexian Metamorph to be particularly irrelevant; I virtually never cast it, and the few times I do cast it usually result in me copying a mana rock.

I like the upcomming changes except for Carpet of Flowers .

I'm curious how it worked out for you :)

Well, Carpet of Flowers can work one of two ways:

1) I'm playing against at least one blue player. Carpet of Flowers provides ramp to help counteract any possible control coming from that player.

2) I'm not playing against any blue players. I win because nobody else is playing blue.

Hi,Did you consider to add Temporal Mastery i believe it could be very useful for you because you have cards like Mystical Tutor , Brainstorm , Imperial Seal , Vampiric Tutor and other cards. i believe this card could make your deck faster.

I'm not convinced that Temporal Mastery is good enough. It's just an expensive Temporal Manipulation in some cases, even though it does interact well with some of the tutor and return-to-top effects. I might test it, but I remain skeptical about its applications.

Also, PTQ Philly was a bust. There weren't any EDH side events; the main tournament had only around 250 players. I did acquire the cards to make a few changes to this list, so an update will be coming in the next week.
