New Card: Treasure Nabber —Aug. 9, 2018

Treasure Nabber

A great hatebear that also ramps you (and shuts down Teferi combo/Paradox Engine). People won't recognize that it's a hate card until you start sacrificing their mana rocks to Smokestack! Yay!

Emensmansera: What are your opinions on running a reanimator wincon? Is that a good finisher for a stax strategy?

My Queen was pure Stax. The win con in mine was descent into madness + assemble the legion. Its a suprise :) so no one will expect it. (no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!). I like it

Emensmansera I might just put that in! Both cards are good on their own, and together they're downright game-winning! Thanks!

I also added Solitary Confinement and necropotence :) keeps you the monarch

Emensmansera I probably won't be adding Necropotence since I'm relying on reanimating my finishers. I also feel like the deck sports more than enough draw (I cut Phyrexian Arena for that reason). That being said, I windmill-slammed Solitary Confinement in the place of Marchesa's Decree. Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you found Delaying Shield to be worth including? It protects the Monarchy, but does literally nothing else.

All I am going to say is that I am glad that I do not have to face this deck where I play. I have a Marchesa deck (have not put it up yet) but this is ... wow. Nasty does not cover what this is. I have a few ideas that maybe you could use. Crawlspace is a good one. Another - both Odric cards. Either one would be good for this deck. I am also playing the Crown, the Scepter and the Throne of Empire. I also play a few more dragons including Tyrant's Familiar. I hope these have helped.

Ravenrose I'm glad you enjoyed it...kinda. Trying new things is something I love to do in every game, and being the scrooge at the table is not something I've done before. I've tested the newest Odric, and seen the old one in action and my ultimate decision was that they're great! when they work... When they do NOT work they are basically vanilla creatures that NEED other things to get them going. Tyrant's Familiar is in a similar vein, and if I want to be reanimating big stuff, I want to reanimate things that are bigger and more game-ending than Tryant's Familiar. Crawlspace, however, is interesting. I'll see if I can trade for one and give it a go! Thanks for the help!

+1 for this deck's name and stax!

Would you consider Glowrider?

SynergyBuild Thank ye! I made both this deck's name and its sister, Lie, Steal, Cheat, and SURVIVE!, RWBY references for...reasons? I guess Adam Torchwick and Tyrian are inspirations for the decks.

I would consider Glowrider! I'll add it to this deck's ever-growing flex-board! Thank you for the suggestion!
