Massive Conceptual Shift —May 14, 2017

Just when we were putting the finishing touches on the primer and I felt the list complete, Sheldon felt the need to interfere and everything was thrown into flux...After extensive testing we have decided to replace buried alive necrotic ooze combo with flash hulk. Since the deck no longer needs fat cards to function properly, the deck is far more streamlined and Ad Naus is a legitimate 1 card win condition. The card slots freed up by cutting our fatties has allowed us to use the more mana efficient phantasmagorian package for hermit druid combo. Instead of fatesticher we are using blooghast as free creature #2, which forms an incredible draw engine with skullclamp. Overall, the deck is stronger than its predecessor. An updated primer is in the works.

I'm sure you're working on adding it to the primer but I'm curious as to what your Hulk chain is? Just picked one up to test out in my Sidisi Food Chain list and so far I can only figure out a chain that requires casting Food Chain after tutoring for it during the Hulk chain

invigorate_berserk10 Nah its actually a hermit druid line solved by monkeryz. The pile is Deathrite Shaman, Mogis's Marauder and Hermit Druid. which allows us to activate hermit druid for free as soon as he comes into play then dread return flashback nooze for the win.

Love the combos! I have a budget Mimeoplasm deck that is similar to this deck somewhat. You should add Disciple of the Ring, once you mill your deck with Necrotic Ooze on the battlefield you can basically counter everything for per spell. If they pay to stop you, keep countering it until they can't. Another fun one is milling the entire deck then picking it up with Praetor's Counsel then using Skirge Familiar to add an obscene ammpunt of then Death Cloud! Check out my deck when you have a sec.

Lilbrudder I'm assuming Deathrite Shaman in the pile strictly for the colored mana to activate HD?

Also have you considered Tidespout Tyrant? He would go with the Food Chain line. You Dread Return Eternal Witness but get back Tidespout instead and then use your Eternal Scourge to bounce everyone's boards and use E-Wit as many times as you'd like until you finally decided to get back Ballista and kill everyone while their boards are empty

invigorate_berserk10: Deathrite shaman provides a black mana symbol and the mana to activate hermit druids ability. Without both deathrite and marauder you can give haste to both the dork and HD. I did use tidespout in the past but he does not do enough as an 8 drop in this list.

Squirrel_of_War: Thank's man! Those are some cool cards, but they are a bit too fat for this list.

Lilbrudder hmm that's actually a pretty cool way to use Hulk to win. Definitely the most streamlined pile I've seen since it only requires one Hulk trigger rather than chaining multiples with stuff like Body Double or Phyrexian Delver

Yeah I was pretty psyched about it when I was informed how it worked. It fits very nicely within the shell and requires a very minimal card slot investment.

Is there a budget version or could there be a budget version of this deck? This seems absolutely amazing to play and I would love to make it without any proxies

1337_Nerd: Thanks bud! SBT is a great choice to pilot. I have not made a budget list, however, Voidia (AKA the original gangster of SBT), has made a budget version of his brew. We agree on most card choices and my next revision will get me closer to his build than I currently am. His budget brew would be a great starting point and then you can add the big money cards down the road.

His regular version is fairly budget friendly too.

Daedalus19876's lists are very good, they just are quite different from how this particular deck plays.
