Four rounds of Swiss. I went 3-1 and ended up in 8th place. Unburial Rites + Angel of Serenity did most of the heavy lifting, and I had a couple mulches that netted me four lands.
Round 1 vs. B/G featuring Wolfir Silverheart and Rancor. I'm afraid I don't remember too much from the match. Seance was a factor in one of the games, allowing me to summon Thragtusk and Centaur Healer as spirit tokens to block and gain life. I took the match 2-1.
Round 2 vs Mono-Red. Hellrider, Pillar of Flame, and Mizzium Mortars were flying fast and furious. I couldn't match his speed in Game 1, but held him off with a Lotleth Troll until my angels could fly in for the victory in Game 2. In Game 3, I made the decision not to unbury a Craterhoof Behemoth for defense, and that ended up costing me the game. I lost 1-2.
Round 3 vs BGW Exalted. No Sublime Archangel, but plenty of knights (glory and infamy). My angels ruled the air, and I won Game 2 with a seanced Angel to clear his field and an unburied craterhoof to stomp in with 6 creatures for 50+ damage. It was the highlight of the night for me. I won the match 2-0.
Round 4 vs Mono-Green. I think I played this deck two weeks ago at the last FNM I attended. Pretty much the same story as before. I took Game 1. He got out a turn 2 Predator Ooze and smashed my face in. This time, I was in control for Game 3 thanks to my angels. Jarad was also a factor. I won the match 2-1.
