Thursday Night Modern 11/1 —Nov. 1, 2018
Took the tribe out for our first spin in a competitive environment tonight going 2-2 in a field of about 20ish players. Opted to sideboard Kitchen Finks over Obstinate Baloth due to seeing frequent burn but almost 0 BGx decks. I was promptly rewarded with 2 BGx decks in rounds 1 and 2 where Obstinate Baloth would've been appreciated. I didn't see anyone on burn tonight.
Round 1 vs Jund 0-2 L
G1 and G2: He just had all the removal and I couldn't keep a board presence.
Sb: 3 Assassin's Trophy, 2 Scavenging Ooze
Round 2 vs Sultai Midrange 0-2 L
G1 and G2: This was pretty much the same matchup as R1, and I can't keep dudes on the board.
Sb: 3 Assassin's Trophy, 2 Scavenging Ooze
Round 3 vs UW Control 2-1 W
W G1: Was able to keep up pressure and eked out a win.
L G2: He played through Choke and I got double-Terminus'd.
W G3: I got a very fast start with double Collected Company and beatdown.
Sb: Choke, 2 Assassin's Trophy, 2 Shapers' Sanctuary
Round 4 vs Mono-White Devotion 2-0 W
W G1, G2: He didn't have much going and I just made dudes and swung into an empty board.
Sb: Damping Sphere. 2 Reclamation Sage for his borderposts.
