My very first EDH deck was based on Merieke. I didn't know the format very well, so I didn't build it very well. However I did use a few good auras that don't appear in your deck:

  • Freed from the Real - : Untap

  • Aura of Dominion - The creature you steal can be used to pay the cost of untapping with this one, if you steal an untapped creature.

  • Crab Umbra - Doubles as protection for Merieke, but untapping is expensive

  • Immobilizing Ink - Kinda bad, but better than nothing. Half the time you might put this on an opponent's creature.

We arent on Immobilizing Ink? Makes Kydele omly need to produce 2 mana and then goes infinite with 3 cards in hand

I like your idea, seems a lot of fun. I would switch Unsummon with Peel from Reality. I also don't likeImmobilizing Ink a lot.

Immobilizing Ink is nice spell, because its synergies with many other things like untapping Tidehollow Strix with Viridian Longbow, or untapping Disciple with Retraction Helix. Now, when i add this to my deck, I'm thinking to add more 1-2 CMC cards that working with tap\untap mechannics.

I was playing with Refocus several times. Usually, i use it as emergency counterspell summoner. I keep mana open, and in danger use Refocus to untap Disciple and find counterspell. If no danger appears, i can "transmute" refocus itself to find another combo piece.

Comparing with Dream's Grip, Refocus is better, because we can untap Disciple usually on 3th turn, and we still have one mana left for Dispell. But Refocus also will return a card, what Grip can't. Still, i need to think more, because Grip can lower the mana curve, and i targeting to have most of spells 1-2 mana.

I'm still new to the format, but Immobilizing Ink and Refocus both looked a bit meh and am not sure how effect they are. Focus seems fine since it cycles, I just wasn't sure how often it ends up being dead in hand. Ink, however, looked costly since you have to pay 2U and discard two cards in-order to tutor one. I'm Still collecting the cards for the deck to get in my first game (12 to go) so thanks for your insight on Narcolepsy.

MagicBlues Thanks for appreciation and suggestions!

Artifact land is great variant for Trinket Mage. Added!

Cerulean Wisps is nice too for second thought, but i dont know what to change for it. Maybe i should remove Golem Foundry, because infinity golems is cool, but still without haste it useless.Refocus and Immobilizing Ink is too mana expensive. It wouldn't help to untap her at 2-3 turn. And second discarding cards, that i usually have not so much.

I really like your deck and the presentation of its combos. Here are some cards you could consider to run:
Untap:

Tap:Survival:

You could also consider to add Seat of the Synod and Vault of Whispers to extend your Trinket Mage package.
