FormOverFunction Yep : ) My old lifegain deck does have some favorite cards like Selenia, Dark Angel but what I didn't really think about was that when I play somebody, some decks just have no answer for mass lifegain, and that feels terrible for me. It's like my opponent will either get under the soul sisters and kill me, or they won't and I eventually pump a big Bloodthirsty Aerialist, but no matter what I'm doing the same thing every time and it's super boring.

Pump effects targeting a Beloved Princess though? Just to reverse the pressure of somebody's hyper efficient new cards? I'm finding it sooooooooo useful : )

And really, a big part is probably just that I'm not buying new cards anytime soon, so I'm really getting a lot of miles out of the old binders and things, and trying things that I didn't think were very good, just to try them.

Those are all pretty interesting suggestions. I was very seriously looking at Reinforced Ronin as a probably better Rabbit Battery but in the end my love of bunnies kinda wins out, and also just being able to later in the game buff a first striker. I might just give them a try on here and see how it does. But at the same time, I do want to keep it as a not full aggro deck, more of a slow and steady create-a-board, and pump and first strike synergy is fairly effective creature protection.

I'd bet your deck is far more effective : ) I just really enjoy having a big Beloved Princess who, once she's over 3/? with first strike, she becomes a "gain 3 life and kill a chump" every turn.

Heh, I'm going to try it both ways and see how it does. Thanks again! I didn't really realize the synergy of Reinforced Ronin and Heiko Yamazaki, the General but that's really good. So extremely versitile : )

Looks like you've got a lot of solid one-drops! Trained Caracal kind of stands out to me as a subpar choice, though... Beloved Princess and Charmed Stray are both flat-out superior creatures to run in its place.

Potential includes (from a top-down perspective): Snow Fortress (arendell, frozen) Beloved Princess (mother of Elsa and Ana) Lady Zhurong, Warrior Queen (alt. Ana) Ice Floe, On Thin Ice (Iceberg cave is on in F2) Ice Storm (self explanatory) Tendo Ice Bridge (Elsa’s bridge in LiG) Wall of Ice (Elsa’s defensive wall, which stops a crossbow bolt) Castle Vantress (Arendell)

I’m going to go look for a fjord card.

Beloved Princess also has lifelink, is one cmc, and has a pseudo evasive ability. Additionally, being one cmc, the opponent generally will have to use more mana to get rid of it than I did to play it.

Other than that, this was a first draft. I don't know if the Princess will survive the cuts to the final version.

That being said, I love Hushbringer . It will probably end up in the SB if it doesn't get a MB slot.

Hi Anatak,

Thanks for the comment. I originally had Healer's Hawk in that position prior to ELD. I suppose that they are interchangable, depending on what your opponent is playing. Beloved Princess comes in under the radar and more powerful creatures can't block her, while Healer's Hawk has flying and can avoid some blocks. With so many creatures with flying in the latest set, I went for the effect of Beloved Princess - I suppose that you could have one of these two in your main deck and the other card in the sideboard and exchange them as needed.

Hello!

Perhaps consider Healer's Hawk in exchange of Beloved Princess ?
